Just a quick :bump: as this meet is this Wednesday. Can we expect the usual suspects - and is anybody else tempted to come for a chat and some food?

Oh yes, another thought - is anybody coming any good with changing headlight bulbs? [-o<

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Regarding pz shocks,i could do with hearing from someone who has upgraded from standard recently.thanks. I upgraded recently from stock to the PZ suspension. I'm no racing driver and thought it would feel a bit stiffer but didn't think I would really notice much difference. I was wrong, it is very ...

Yeah, going from 'Civil Servant' to 'Retired' probably made a difference to my insurance. Maybe next year I'll consider a new "career" (is mattress tester listed? :z ).

Hi and :welcome: CylonOne. :D Sounds like you're pretty much sorted, but it would be rude if I didn't give you my usual greeting for newbies. ;) Have a good read through whatever in the FAQ section you didn't already read :study: and then (and just ignore me if you know all this already) here are my...

I will try to make this meet, but will be in the RX7, it would be good to have a catch up.
Excellent - and RX7? What happened to the Porsche (or have you been spoiling yourself and building a collection of sporty cars)?

Re: New owner

Not sure, I think there may have been one or two (and I don't mean some or several) completed it ... I don't think they're on here though. One of the issues is that the RX-8 was designed around the engine so getting anything else to fit properly means a lot of extra cutting and welding and then ther...

Hi and :welcome: Dan123. :D Just in case you were having any trouble finding the Buyers Guide - here it is https://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=24047 That may all look very daunting, so in the most simple terms - look out for rust, that will be more difficult and expensive to p...

Re: Kent Meet - Tuesday 19/11/19 **7pm** 'BRAND NEW'

This isn't such a great distance from The Wharf where the Dartford meets took place - just another couple of junctions south on the M25 (about 8 minutes from the Dartford crossing according to the sign I saw lit up on the M25) then follow the signs to Brands Hatch until you get to the petrol station...

Hi and :welcome: dylan_rx8. :D I'd say get the best example you can (ie as rust-free as you can find) of either version ... I'd imagine rotary specialists are few and far between in Italy though, so maybe one that is also mechanically healthy etc is as important since bringing it back to the UK to b...

:whathesaid: Essex Rotary is about 20 miles from me and it means dealing with the traffic associated with going through the Dartford Tunnel to get there but is always worth the effort.

Hi and :welcome: 4bit. :D As said above, did you (or the seller) get a compression test done? If not and it was a private sale then getting one done now will just give you an idea of the health of the engine and whether you have nothing to worry about on that front or should you start to save up for...

So I recognised Eileann Donan Castle and Glencoe in the advert - quite possibly there was a part of the NC500 in there too. 8)

Re: Dartford Meet: VENUE CHANGE for Tuesday 15/10/19 - **7pm**

Thanks for the suggestion. Nigel and I discussed this today and we have decided to give The Lion a try for this month at least. Attendances at The Wharf have been falling off in recent months and perhaps a change of location might get a few more people interested ... and it looks like a nice pub wit...
