Re: Just bought a RX-8 nemesis and have code P0420

Hi and :welcome: Srobo. :D You are right, that code could be any one of many things - how to diagnose which it might be is beyond my own skills ... if it is any help (probably not) I got the same code on my way home from the club AGM in February - the light came on as soon as I got on the motorway s...

Re: Hello From Scotland

Hi and :welcome: d4nny1874. :D You did well to stop when you did ... and even better to be able to fix the cooler pipes yourself. Did you use a rotary compression tester, what numbers did you get? If you are going to get a rebuild both your current options have good reputations. Other reputable rebu...

Hi and :welcome: justandy. :D As has already been said, you should be able to get something really special within your budget. Have a read through the Buyers Guide GraemeC has linked. You can find details of all the versions, special editions etc here https://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic....

I think you'll find we missed June 3rd #-o  July 1st would be the next one.

I guess a drive and take away wouldn't be out of the question - I don't know of any burger vans or whatever or where we might drive to (or meet up to start) though. :-k

I think Ian the shopkeeper is very busy, but I'm sure he will be on it before long. If he doesn't spot this and reply first you could send him a PM Ian.Mothersole

With that mileage would you recommend 10/40 mineral or slightly thicker?
Yeah, just go straight to the 10w40 regardless of mileage

Hi and :welcome: MX-3fan. :D I don't use any photo hosting sites myself, but maybe Flickr would be OK? If you join the club you can just stick photos in your posts straight from your phone or computer. As you've had an RX-8 before I'll assume you don't need my 'tips for new owners' (check through a ...

Re: Revi Ram Air Duct with stock air box

I used cut sections of the 192 version of the removed section to bridge the gap, on the three Ram air ducts that I've fitted with the OEM airbox, including my own. It doesn't have to be an airtight joint as you actually want excess ram air to be able to spill out, so the intake doesn't over-pressur...

Re: Engine won`t rev past 7500rpm

Hi and :welcome: Snowcat In some older cars the 'beep' telling you you're about to hit the red line/rev limiter is either very quiet or has disappeared altogether, so it sounds like that is what has happened to yours. Yep it can and has been done. RRP lifted mine up a bit. I think it's currently set...
