Re: 231 HID Headlights.... not on mine.

Definitely got a 231, so I have been thinking that it's had the front bumper replaced and lights as well. I'm guessing possibly by someone who didn't know there was any difference. That would certainly explain why the headlight leveling isn't connected. Am I correct in thinking that those without th...

231 HID Headlights.... not on mine.

So I'm a bit baffled because I keep reading that all 231 models have the HID headlights fitted as standard. Well my 231 (2006) has most definitely got halogen headlights, (which are about as much use as driving with a head torch on 😂) it also has the headlight leveling sensors (which don't work) tha...

Re: Where do you get your parts from?

Definitely won't be getting them from ebay or amazon.

Yes, just looked at that deal. With vat they are slightly cheaper than Essex.

I'll be replacing all because I have no idea if or when they were last done.

Where do you get your parts from?

Hi, So I'm looking to get plugs, leads and coil pack. But I don't know where to get them from. I've looked at the likes of Essex Rotary, Mazda rotary parts, rotary revs etc but not sure who to go with as the price can vary quite a bit for the same thing. Any suggestions and experiences? Many thanks.

Not sure on the starter being replaced, I would guess at no just because most of the general stuff I've had done has been the original parts that have been replaced.

Re: Hi, new here and have a starting question!

Ok cheers, I'll try that first. Plugs, leads and coils haven't been done recently to my knowledge so could be them.

Re: Hi, new here and have a starting question!

Hi, thanks for the quick responses. So it's the same whether the engine is hot or cold, same turning over two or three times before firing up. The battery was replaced about 12 months ago so shouldn't be that I don't think.

Hi, new here and have a starting question!

Hi, So I've had my RX-8 for about three and a half years now and have not had any issues with starting at all. She's always fired up immediately and never turned over before starting. However two days ago and I turned the key to start her and the engine actually turned over two or three times before...
