They should give the volunteers hi-vis bibs or XL-tshirts printed with a "Priority" message
It's not like I simply walk in, I have to show a card to the security guard outside just like key workers, e.g. doctors and nurses.

I DROVE IT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Finally had an 'essential' excuse!!! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ Ironically I'm putting more miles on my Rex than ever as I've volunteered to deliver food and other things to people in isolation. I just have to put up with the abuse for being allowed straight into the superma...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Bodge/test fitted the driver's seat from my Evroa into the RX8 and went for a 'quick' test drive... a tank of fuel later I'm 10x happier with my Rex and thinking a Tesla EV conversion is on the cards. Though I'll want a different chassis, after getting it high up on ramps I think the car's been in a...

Two sightings of a grey RX8, once leaving Milton then a 54 plate on the A14. Probably the same car but not entirely sure as I didn't catch the reg first time.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

For me, the MPS4 the best daily driver summer tyre out there. Rather than excelling in one area, it's consistently good across a very wide range of conditions. It's comfortable, quiet and predictable even around freezing, yet still provides enough feel to have fun on the twisty bits though it'll not...

More ethanol? Sounds like a chance to add more boost... So, guess I need to fit a turbo or supercharger kit then!

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Depending what was used before there may still be some contamination on the friction cones. Now you have the correct oil running there's a possibility that mechanical and thermal forces might improve things over time. However, you need to avoid causing any more damage by taking a breath as you pass...

Re: JayEmm on Cars YT RX8 Review

This isn't the first review that JayEmm's been off when it comes to the detail. Problem is that his review turnover is so high (to get the revenue) that he does a bit of Google researching then jumps in and shoots from the hip. I've been a long term viewer but have unsubscribed from him today. Chan...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

However, you need to avoid causing any more damage by taking a breath as you pass through neutral on changes when the 'box is hot, and even consider double-declutching. Due to the Evora's awful gear change, I've got used to tapping the box out of gear letting it centre & then moving it to the corre...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

PaulAV, So I've checked and there seems to be about 10-15mm of free play at the pedal. Though the biting point seems very low so maybe new clutch time? qwakers, As of a few weeks ago MT90, putting that in made the changes smoother for the most part. This is the first time I've really got everything ...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

I know I need to do the clutch fluid, but getting the brakes sorted out has been drinking all of the brake fluid I'm buying. The more I learn about this car the more I feel it's had good parts thrown at it but not had the full attention it deserved :(.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Opened a bottle of cataclean and turned my RX-8 into a beep test machine for about 30 miles :D

Though I have found that it really doesn't want to go into 2nd gear from any gear at any rpm when the box is hot. 1st gets a bit clunky too.

Re: Honkytonk's Black P-Shed

Don't be so surprised if one of the products you use didn't work well with the wax. When I had my Zed the detailer I used asked which products I was using for my maintenance washes, that way he picked the sealer which lasted between the details. I then changed snow foam and the wax he used didn't la...

Re: More side-support for narrower people?

I dug out my CG lock and started using it. While it's a great improvement but the seat still isn't offering the side support I'd like - with sudden unexpected changes in side load and I'm still getting unwanted steering input. So I guess its find some R3 seats or look at aftermarket options.

Sometimes it's the small touches that make you really like the car. For instance, sun-visors that are actually useful!

Re: How to use cataclean?

Given that you'll be driving hard with the Cataclean, the usual premix should help and certainly won't do any harm. There is some evidence the (good quality) 2T premix also helps to remove carbon deposits. Good to know. It was just when I ordered it there was the warning "not for use with 2 stroke ...

Okay, bad phrasing... Do I need to purge my tank of the 2t oil tank before a cataclean treatment?
