Re: UPDATE Page 4: **SAFETY ALERT: Fuel Tank recall - Fuel Leaks & Other Issues"

Hello, I have booked my RX8 into Arnold Clark Mazda Kirkcaldy for December. My thinking was get the recalls done to keep DVLA happy, then inspect the work myself, build a tool and lift and check the seals. When happy i can then fill the tank. I will be asking if they have the correct tooling availab...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Got the RX8 running on a backup ECU using the key held up next to the Anti theft aerial and installing the keyless box of that ECU and covering up the key from other ECU with Tinfoil. https://i.gyazo.com/d526fd6a85341ba3cfb9f361865f99f3.png https://i.gyazo.com/dae4ee26cbe5d4b83fa90e4304c7aabf.png Al...

Re: subframe rust how to treat

Thanks for your input Phil (and Delta0). Got the bolts out of the arms, well three, one had no rust at all, two quite rusty and the last had to be cut off, then the remainder of the bolt pushed out of the bush. One new bolt and a few nuts ordered from Mazda ready for refitting soon. Looking forward ...

Re: subframe rust how to treat

Thanks I have another look. Just looked through your thread and I see you have the rear sub frame off right now. On a side note I see you also had the front sub frame off, on mine I could not get the bolts out of the rubber mounts for the lower wish bone (right name?) the angle set bolts, just seize...

Re: subframe rust how to treat

I am looking at removing my rear sub-frame to needle gun and shot blast it including the brake calipers etc. The brake pipes seem to wind there way around the frame which looks as it may not be easy to remove. Anyone removed the rear sub-frame, is there a way of getting the brake pipes out with out ...

Back end tidy up complete.

Dyed the bumpers last month, JDM plate and Grams plate holder installed. Much better :thumleft:
Old plate had to be massive to cover the square hole you get in a JDM bumper #-o
Those bumpers look great, Mine are looking a bit grey.
What product did you use on them?

Re: Car key fob housing replacement

Hello Joe,

I too purchased those key fob housings, I removed the buttons from the new key fob and using my model milling machine made the new buttons fit in my old key fob.

Regards Danny.
