Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Will it be more annoying than the infestation if 4x4s with headlights aimed right in the face of normal cars? URFGH this drives me nearly as mad as cyclists who have lights brighter than the surface of multiple suns directed seemingly deliberately at eye level. Being seen is all well and goo...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Yeah mine was £400 for my two rear arches. In retrospect, bearing in mind the amount of cleaning up they had to do in the area, I got off lightly.

Re: New owner of a MX-5 Mk2

I've got to say this is a cracking restoration.

If you wanted to try the welder out on an 8, I happen to know a shell not too far from you that's seen better days.

Re: COME ON THE BLACKs !

Just noticed 2 of these pics are the same!! Cant get the hang of posting pics from my camera, I am posting them as files, any ideas to make posting easier please. If you make a profile on a site like imgbb, you can upload the photos to there and then embed them into your posts. It will even do thin...

Re: LED 3rd Brake Light

A tiny on the lens would probably do them a world of good for both brightness and masking the breadboardish nature.

Could also just make a black/white bit of card/plastic to slot over to cover the breadboard.

Re: RX54 My 231

John, that's my local scrap yard. It's massive, sometimes really good finds there. You kept that quiet Raf! Are there any good parts left? Why do you think he kept it quiet... I'll defer to the other (more knowledgable) chaps on the 585 front, I just remembered that people moving off of 585's...

Re: RX54 My 231

Well I know where I'm going for a trip some time soon! I thought these proper self-service salvage yards were nearly gone!

Do you need to book ahead of time or can you just turn up with some tools? Doesn't seem obvious on the website.

Re: RX54 My 231

....where is this salvage yard?!

Doesn't matter if the spoiler is to anyone else's taste as long as you like it.

The D585 coils will require a remap to work properly with the car, they're not plug and play (unless you're already running D585's of course).

Re: Sucky, rattly noise, low RPM, under load?

Really stupid suggestion, it couldn't be something fuel pump related could it? If it nearly disappears when the tank is full but is greater when it's emptier and under load, could that be the pump sucking (and rattling) on a drier tank?

Very randomly I saw this the other day. I was thinking I hadn't see one in forever..... I don't know what I love more, the fact it's in such good nick or the fact you stopped to take a photo! Mint unmolested ones of these will be worth some cash (not millions of course, but more than you'd ex...

Re: Honkytonk's Black P-Shed

Popped over for a couple of hours today to do some construction. £50 of eBay's finest Chinese tat tent arrived after I decided working on the car on the open air through the winter was not for me. https://i.ibb.co/FV4bt1p/IMG-20201018-143603436.jpg https://i.ibb.co/Qv5vymR/IMG-20201018-155845910-HDR...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Honkytonk, the best thing about Brum is the road out of it. At least that's what we say in Coventry. Amazingly Birmingham had only been a city for just over 150 years where as Coventry had been a city for adding 750 years, something happened to Birmingham very quickly, but unfortunately it didn't r...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

God every time I drive through Brum I feel like it exists just so other places like Scotland or Wales can have nice views. Just focus all the drearyness in one place and it takes it away from other ones.

Good on you for enjoying yourself.

More of a picture dump.
