End of my RX-8 Ownership
As posted in rx8 discussion I waved goodbye to my RX-8 3 good years with it, time to go to a new enthusiast who can get some use out of it. Now Jess is deciding what the money is spent on [emoji38] Wont miss the fuel bill or the tax, but the drive out into the country roads and the pops and bangs so...

Re: Information regarding Luke Murdoch
It’s good that the matter has been discussed maturely here, personally I have been very shocked by this as I dealt with him a lot and got on well with him - like most people. I can sympathise with the people who have said they feel ashamed/embarrassed to have recommended his services to others. I d...

Re: Why you should(n't) buy a Peugeot 308 SW
Nice write up Julian! Surprised its got a towbar, with a 1.2 maybe it could tow a small trailer to the tip with some rubbish. I liked the styling of some of the newer Peugeot but that one looks pretty bad. I have owned 3 Peugeot all 306 d turbos which were fun cars at the time once you modified them...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
If the seating was not perfect then I think you would have felt the judder straight away. Possibly more prudent to remove the discs, clean the mating faces (should have been done in April), abrade the disc surface to remove any pad deposits, abrade the pads surface to remove any glazing or deposits...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Not happy that there is a slight judder under braking above 60mph new discs and pads in April so I can only assume the face between the hub and disc is not perfect and has warped a disc. To save time and buggeration new Hubs Discs and Pads ordered. Also slight grumble near side rear bearing so that...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Well not specifically to do with my RX8 but RX8 club related. I won't be renewing my membership so wanted to thank everyone I have met along the road of Mazda ownership. Overall its been fun, not without its expenses and anguish. I can't say I really fell in love with rotary life, its ok but certain...

Re: Jeep constantly Alarming
My insignia had glass break sensors in the side rear window, when it got really warm the element would expand or something and set the alarm off. It was driving me mad, luckily an auto electrician diagnosed it and sorted it out. Unfortunately this was whilst locked so probably is no help to you, but...

My Dad had a r33 gt-st and was a fantastic car.
Sold it for 1800 had no rot [emoji1787]
Luckily I have still kept my Pulsar. Wish I had brought a GTR when they where cheap! Hey ho

RX8 have a bad rep with needing rebuilds as it is. Now we have people replacing them when they don't even need to [emoji1787]

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Fair play, that’s a substantial commitment to the car. To be honest I did think about selling it and looked around at other cars. I set a £10k budget and couldn't find anything that ticks even most of the boxes that the 8 does. Despite the high running costs it's such a jack of all trades. So the l...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Thread here for washers. Just pulled from the 2009 Mazda parts thingy online for the US sites, and it's come back with 9951-11-800 for the drain plug and 9956-41-800 for the crush washer which should be valid part no's, but worth a check with the dealer if you're getting them from there ;) You're a...

My bet is on an oil burp. Sounds identical to what happened to me with Ranjan's (now Chris's) car at Three Sisters. That was a massive oil burb, even with a catch can, that we still haven't managed to pin down the cause. Sent from my SM-G398FN using Tapatalk That was my thinking Dave and seemed lik...

Lol me too first two laps Tom was saying there was a lot more top speed in the later Rev range than the previous engine then pop. Strange as he was able to keep the engine running all the way around the track but he stalled it in the paddock. I left it for an hour then started it to put on the trai...
