Re: Coolant bottle..

When braking, mostly from higher speeds, I can feel a vibration. Had this happen before when I warped discs at a track day, but when this started it wasn't after a track day or any hard driving. I also have black diamond discs for MRP on the front so would hope that they'd be pretty warp resistant....

Gave it a good clean and used this meguiars ceramic wax stuff. After all that I then put the cover on it to keep the bird sh*t off it whilst it's stood. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190721/647c30ff6b2b400a3d038c49f877dd40.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190721/ce56c6918be2778b956c2b491...

Re: Replacement air filter pipercross

I think it depends on the car, as I have had no issues in the last 5 years and also don't forget my car is Serviced every 6 months at 10k :thumleft: I'm doing mine every 6 months and 3k miles [emoji23] so think I will go with the Pipercross and blame you Nigel if it goes wrong haha Sent from my Pix...

Re: Replacement air filter pipercross

All very good food for thought! There is the risk of the foam breaking up, I'm sure they have a pretty good warranty on the pipercross ones. I have a foam filter on the Pulsar GTIR and don't have any issues with it. Super handy to be able to wash it out but that's a bit of a different car. Maybe I'm...

Re: Replacement air filter pipercross

I been running a Pipercross Air Filter for the last 5 years and had no issues with it :thumleft: Toyota take it out and Cleans it on the Car Services.....and it adds 6 BHP to my car ;) Must add more than 6bhp to my Mazda then as it's the better car [emoji23] Thanks for your review Nigel much apprec...

Re: Replacement air filter pipercross

Yeah I wasn't really looking for performance just for ease of use.

A new filter is around £15 and this is my second replacement in 3000 miles (mostly traveling to track days etc) so for £35 I can get one I can clean and re oil.

Replacement air filter pipercross

Looking to get a new air filter as mine has picked up crap already. Has anyone got experience with washable filters such as the pipercross?

Coming in at £35 it will be better in the long run

Any ideas?

Re: Coolant bottle..

Please also note that even if you lay your hands on a replacement tank avec sensor, unless your radiator is new or in very good condition, I'd be wary of swapping them out. I put in a new OEM rad and when the coolant take was taken out, it took part of the rad with it! :) Unplug like the boys sugge...

Re: Breaking track car

Hi Mark interested in the two sets of alloys I do have a spare set of stock RX-8 rims with legal tyres so could offer the swap to keep it rolling. When I get to breaking the car I'll take pictures of them and measure the tread so you can decide if they're for you. That's perfect! Sent from my Pixel...

Thanks all for the great day, I really enjoyed it, my little 20 minutes of track time was also loads of fun and just reminds me how amazing this car is. You are all great. For a show track time it was actually really good not too many cars out (poor mx5s lol) and plenty of space. As you say thanks ...
