Re: <<<TRACKDAY Brands Hatch Indy Circuit - Friday 3rd December SOLD OUT>>>

Hi all,

Unfortunately I have tested positive for C19 and as such I need to quarantine. I have sent a message to Nick and hopefully I can move the date out for a different track day at a later event.

Please accept my apologies as I will be unable to attend the day

Recommendations of towing with Battery/Hybrid powered car

Hi all, Looking at getting a new car from a work programme. For tax reasons I am getting pushed down the Batter/Hybrid route but there are not many out there that are capable of towing - or at any particular range (especially with a car trailer and RX8 on the back) Does anyone have any recommendatio...

Re: Colour change...

I am in a very similar position where I have carried out some paint repairs and cannot Geta perfect match and following all of the mechanical work then a full respray would be the next call. Do we have any recommendations of respray dealers in the SE - Hants / Farnborough area - happy to travel but ...

Re: Suspensions Bushes

I was very lucky and found a set or rear arms (less the lateral links) from a seller in USA, Texas. I took a punt and to be fair they were absolutely immaculate (may be the lack of humidity) but the seller did say that they came from a low milage car. The cost was not prohibitive but postage and imp...

Re: Drive shaft grease type

Going to expand on greasing, I have the rear hubs off and wondering if there is any kind of preventative maintenance that can be carried out on the rear wheel bearings. I am going to assume nil as they are sealed but wondering if anything can be done whilst I have them dismantled.

Re: Front and Rear Bush are inspection - renewal

Ok - I had a bit of playing around with the resistance of the rear suspension bushes. I set up a measuring board, strain gauge, rule and did some deflection readings to try and come up with a list of measurements that can be referred to. IMG_3728.JPG These are not new bushes but it would be useful i...

Drive shaft grease type

Hi - I am refurbing the rear drive shafts and the amounts are noted in the workshop schedule by not the type of grease. There is a reference to MT and AT I am assuming this refers to the transmission type. The amounts are not that clearly shown on the diagrams but as the meaures have quite a toleran...

Rust removal

During part of the refurb of my 8 I have looked at quite a few methods of removing rust from items, bolts and other items - sorry cannot help myself at times. I have looked at differing methods with quite a bit of success and surprises in some areas. For those difficult to reach areas I have plumped...

Front and Rear Bush are inspection - renewal

Hi, I have removed the front and rear suspensions as part of a refurb and looked at a lot of the differing bush replacements, quite a view of mixed reviews on what is best. My question is when does a bush need to be replaced as there is nothing in the service manuals of inspections/tests etc - only ...

Not saying that I have a solution but........ I am finishing off a full front end rolling stock rebuild and I may look to complete the rear in the very near future. If you are going to purchase another set of the opposite side that you are missing, I may ask you to get double again and I will then l...
