Re: S1 Suspension in the absence of PZ's :(

Thanks guys,
I guess I was after the equivalent of the PZ as they say it was optimised for UK roads, so it's good to know the R3 is a match or that there are other options to buy new :thumright:

Obviously if anyone wants rid of their PZ set they should drop me a message :D

Cheers,
Will.

Best other option would be a set from an R3
Do R3 sets fit straight to S1's??

S1 Suspension in the absence of PZ's :(

Hi All,
Appears that all the Club's new PZ suspension sets are spoken for. Given that, can anyone suggest some alternatives? ;)

Re: Midlands Meetup: Appleby Inn, **TBA**, 7pm.

Hi All,
Just to let you know my feelings on the meetup for now. As it stands with the increased Covid restrictions I think sadly it makes sense to postpone further meets till things improve. Heaven knows when this will be, but it's something I certainly look forward to.

Stay safe everyone.

Will.

Re: Midlands Meetup: Appleby Inn, Wednesday 26th August, 7pm.

Darn, the Appleby Inn is fully booked. Looks like I'm not the only one thinking to make the most of it.
I'll book it a couple of weeks after as I'm on my holidays the first week of September 😁

FYI it's a table for 10 with a view to us being spaced out. I would suggest that caps us out at 5 attendees :)

I wouldn’t have sold it but the engine suddenly lost all compression with a huge bang! Was thinking about an engine rebuild but in the end decided to save up that money towards an R3 / S2 as I have had two S1s now but have always wanted one an S2. Apologies from me. I have had to sell my 40th Anniversary. Am saving up for an RX8 R3 now so will be re-joining after that.

Re: Rusty RX-8

So how do you teat it? Get in the pros? Have two rear doors from me? Slight colour difference! For anything Alu I use ACF50, avionics use it a lot on airframes. Brilliant at protecting alu but also other metals. We get our fleet of blood bikes professionally coated every year. It’s amazing how easy...

Road salts can attack aluminium alloy and it's best to treat while it's still cosmetic.
So how do you treat it?
