Re: Bought a MIG Welder

@qwakers. This jus5 gets to be a bigger bargain as the gas is an Argon C02 mix
@ Honkytonk. I am not that brave, clean thick metal would be a challenge!
@ Neil Just need the wire then

Note to self: get loads of practice. Making a bench and some shelving as a starter project perhaps

Basic question. How can you tell how much gas is in the bottle? The gauge is showing 2000psi.

Bought a MIG Welder

Whilst I don’t need one, hopefully, at £20 this was worth a punt. Once the car is back in the road then I can have a poke around to see if this works or is a lemon.

Re: Oxford Driving Roads

Traffic free roads around Oxford on a Saturday you have to be joking. You could drive across toward Bibury and then up toward the A40 and over to Cheltenham for a coffee!

So that's three tyres, two bucket seats, one belt bar, two belt sets and now two cans of green paint to fit in the car. All presuming I get the darn thing back together by 5th February too!

Re: boosted's rotary westy

Blimey, you cannot even buy an engineless Westfield kit for that price. An absolute bargain which fortunately I wont fit in and the bank balance wouldn't cover anyway.
Your op permitting I hope we see you at JDM Combe Jon.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

A lick of green tein paint on that Chris would make it look good as new :thumleft: A bit of interwebbing came up with some Rustoleum Green paint as used by TEIN USA. The units are originally powder coated therefore there is no aftermarket process for repainting offered by TEIN. 229E9449-3453-49C9-B...

It is amazing how much damage a rotary can with stand without any rattles or other obvious symptoms so a compression test can be very u...
