Resurfaced rotor housings

For outright sale (no exchange housings required) one pair of resurfaced housings. Slight witness marks on the outer edges in places as can be seen in the images. I was advised by the machinist that this is OK but the separate piece of the apex seal should be fitted on the opposite side. £350 posted...

R Revs D585 Coils, Magnecor Leads and harness

These are no longer required by me and are just gathering dust in the garage. Unsure of the mileage but estimated to be less than 10,000.

Exedy Cover, Plate and bearing plenty of life left in the friction disc. Came off a donor engine so mileage is unknown

Fergus is a clever so and so and has a good blend of knowledge and brute force so you should be OK especially after following Petes "technical" tips above!

Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

Spinning the wheels up with the car on axle stands, admittedly only at a low speed in 2nd, they ran perfectly true.
Problem was still there when I fitted my track wheels.
May well take you up on that Grahame.

Got a text at 16:20 so unfortunately Graham you got pipped to the post, plus the other offer was higher.
Still got the nice RR D585s if you're interested.

Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

@V8 Power One other thought, what about the prop shaft, could it be out of balance? Is it worth swapping with another at some time to test? Could be but not sure is anyone local has one to lend me! @Boosted Its not polybushed I am hoping its just road surface harmonics. A run on track or actually on...

Not OE but still a good quality part, not sure what I paid for it a couple of years ago.

Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

So today's escapade was to set the Teins to full hard. Had to suck water out of the DS strut top about 250ml which must have come from the side vent in the water shield of the bonnet vent which is now gaffer taped over. The adjuster was initially stiff, no doubt a bit of rust due to the water. Road ...

Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

Now there's a thought! An obvious thing to check ( but didn't occur to me) and simple hopefully with adjustable Teins. Just need to take the boot side units out to get at the top of the rears to adjust them.
Thanks Dave.

Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

Ramp! Axle stands on the drive for me. Once for the spin up and PPF adjustment and then again for the wheel swap and then a third time for the swap back to the original wheels. All a mite tedious and inconclusive. The regular nature of the vibration and heaviness just shouts of something rotational ...

Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

That's what I am thinking. Exaggerated I think by the RFT Bridgestones and the Tein MonoSports as it was less pronounced with the Federal 595s fitted.

Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

Things done today in search of the something! Jacked up the rear and engaged 2nd gear to spin the wheels and check for any misalignment, all running true. Checked PPF alignment and adjusted it up by 1/2". Test drive still got the vibration. Swapped the RFT wheels and tyres for my Federal track tyres...

Well today the new starter was installed, and both lambda sensors are in, and still won’t start on the key, but is better on cranking, so still needs a bump start, then cuts out. Having to bite the bull it and drag it over to Rotary Revs as we are at a loss, hopefully nothing major 🤕🤒 Could save yo...
