Re: Exhaust touching crossmember

Did you re-align the PPF? If not then the DIY is available in the members workshop manual section. After fitting my clutch we had to adjust the PPF up by about 1/2” and it is a critical part of refitting it. This screenshot shows most of the information you need. It does pay to take a step back sometimes and think a process through. Thanks Peter for correcting me!

Re: buying a used engine

I think this detailed somewhere on here. Things additionally I can think of are ECU, oil coolers and pipes so it’s an expensive and complex transplant. Cheaper probably to fit one of RRPs rebuilds with R3 housings.

Re: Crank Sensor Replacement

I ended up having to destroy it to get it out I gather from this that you have the version where the sensor doesn't just sit in a yolk but slides into a housing cast into the front cover. Depending on the method of destruction it is possible that the ESS is not sitting in the correct position and t...

Re: Crank Sensor Replacement

Remove all the ignition leads one by one, checking they are connected firmly and to the correct coil/plug.
Removed the ESS plug and clean, check wires for continuity.

Those may just be lever marks from someone removing the front pulley in a lees than sympathetic way.

The flywheel will clean quite quickly when the clutch is used, or can be wire brushed off.

Thanks Pete,

Can you confirm names initially so I can sort the deposit.

Rather than mess about with PayPal then as I know everyone I will cover the deposits for everyone and you can then then just give me £10 cash each on the night.

Re: Mx5 interloper- interested in RX8 brakes

I doubt £500 will even get you a set of Calipers. Also the Freaky parts 4 pot Caliper group buy on here was for standard size discs. If you are going for bigger discs then expect a price of c£1500 for Calipers, discs and pads. Beaten to it by GreySilver Beast:::: Click on the link at the top left of...
