If I see you again I'll be sure to wave. I often see a blue (stormy?) one around there as well but rarely while I'm in mine.

Re: Do you see many RX8's?
Passed a tidy looking red one whilst in the r3 yesterday in Bramall, despite barely moving I don't think he saw me but was instead looking right through me at the market beyond.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Check engine light came on, hopefully something trivial but I nursed it home just in case. Maybe its a protest for all the stop start traffic its had to endure recently, poor thing. Ordered an obd2 reader from Amazon to find out what's making it unhappy, its probably not a bad idea to have one handy...

Re: Do you see many RX8's?
Less than a minute after pulling in to the drive in mine, I heard the distinctive note of a rotary, looked to the road and sure enough one was driving past, Galaxy Grey.
That's my total seen since owning one up to 2.

I saw one today which is the first time since I have had the r3. It was exciting!

Re: RX8 OC Instagram Submissions!
Silver has never been my favourite car colour, despite owning 2 of them, but I really like how the sunlight silver reflects the conditions its in so well. It can look a bit drab on a dark cloudy day but get it in some good light and it shines.

Re: RRP Performance Coil system MKII - website review now active
Only if the leading plug was fitted to the trailing position, this can deform the housing. Good to know, the 1 leading plug was in the right position so hopefully all good. Went for a drive last night, initial reaction was it felt smoother and quicker to respond to the throttle from idle, happy wit...

Re: RRP Performance Coil system MKII - website review now active
Will do, fired up fine so must of done it right! Off to the airport later to pick someone up so will report back. Quick question though, changed the spark plugs at the same time and it would seem the garage that did these last(I think a Mazda one at that) decided to fit 3 trailing plugs and only the...

Re: RRP Performance Coil system MKII - website review now active
Just chopped them both off on mine whilst fitting these, looking at it the only function they could serve is spacing. There is also a folded lip at the rear between the L2 and T2 coils, I assume serving the same purpose. All in now just about to go fire it up, should mention the original clip is a b...

Took it through a tunnel for the first time, under Manchester airport. Windows down, dropped to 2nd at about 35 and floored it, satisfying!

Re: 4 wheel alignment within tolerance
My local tyre fitters suggested a place called 'Ears Motorsport' in Macclesfield, it's opposite the football stadium. Not been yet so no idea what they are like but they were struggling to think of anyone else that did the full set up locally.

Re: Ignition leads Group Buy - Please Read all - Now MSD
The new deal is fine with me, might look out for some of the r100's anyway but I would like to put new leads on with the coils in the meantime.
How would you like payment by the way?
Found a distributor of magnecor in Spain that seems to stock them, cant see any in the UK that do though.

Re: premix increase in MPG?
Just to chime in on this, this has happened to me recently, also an R3. Parked up for a couple days after a long drive, on just under a 1/4 tank, when I next went to drive it it had jumped up almost another 1/4 and remained artificially high until I next filled it. Parked on a downward slope which c...

Re: Ignition leads Group Buy
Think I will risk the more awkward fitting and change my mind to the 10mm R100. I missed that little tidbit of information with the 60kV output, if these coils are indeed putting that out then thats a bit too close for comfort for me.

Re: Ignition leads Group Buy
Fitment issues aside, is there any functional reason one would want the 10mm ones on an otherwise stock engine with the RRP coils? A quick look on the website seems to state the only difference is thicker insulation mainly to cope with extra heat or 'extreme output coils', I am assuming that doesnt ...

Gave it a good wash, polish and wax today, finished up just as the sun was setting so made use of the light for some rear end glamour shots.
