Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

I've got 2010 RRS that has the low speed knocking thing. Never had time to diagnose it fully as I don't know if its ARB bushes or arm bushes as I've heard that they're notorious for both. Interesting you've done that though and sorted it. It's got a horrific grind/squeal developed today though. Don...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Not an RX-8, but doesn’t really warrant it’s own thread on ‘The other car’ either... Installed new front lower control arms on my Landry with after market units fitted with Meyle bushings as the oil-filled bushings in the OEM arms had failed. Not the easiest job to do on my driveway - especially as...

Re: LC05VRY - 2005 Strato Blue 231

Im enjoying this thread, like to see a good recovery story! What happened to the MS mirrors? I saw it was advertised with a full MS kit and the mirrors were in the picture but then they were gone in the next? They were removed by the owner before me. He said he changed them as they were too small a...

Re: Engine teardown, do I dare?

I thought that the general consensus was that the chrome plating was too thin on them so they couldn't be machined? Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk Mazda could not keep up with the supply of housings for the IMSA series in the US many moons ago and shipped two production housing machines over t...

Re: "Dead" BMW E91 335d

Don’t know why but DVLA wouldn’t let me do it online (maybe because it’s been SORNd for a while) but this afternoon I sent off the slip to have L33WDG transferred from 335d to RX8. Hopefully there’s no issues with it.

Re: "Dead" BMW E91 335d

Finally this has an outcome! So i was at my lock up having a clean up and as a van is driving out from the estate, it stops and a guy gets out. He asks me what's going on with the very sorry for itself BMW. I explain the story and he tells me that he moved in on the estate a few weeks ago and has be...

Mazdaspeed Bumper (Aerokit Replica) Mesh recommendations

Can anyone recommend what mesh to use on the Mazdaspeed front end? The only thing i know is i want it black, not silver. Not sure what size pitch is recommended for adequate protection to the oil coolers and radiator? Is there any reason to go for ABS plastic rather than stainless steel? Any recomme...

There’s only one table of two guys in here, which I awkwardly asked if they were from the forum to which they answered no.

Might try and come along to this. Still only met one other owner and would be nice to meet some others.
Would it be classed as bad taste to turn up not in a rotary powered vehicle? Mine is very far from being drivable.

I know that it’s a waaayy bigger undertaking than forced induction on an 8 but what’s the Rev limit usually on 3/4 rotor set ups?

Re: Lee's Kuro Revival

With no lighting on its very subtle, you'd have to be looking for it. As soon as you put the HID on its really noticeable, and/or you could install a demon eye LED in behind to have it show up with the HID off. This is where i think the clear lense might make it slightly more noticeable with it off....

It's this etching on the lense? How did you etch it?
Yeah etched on. This is just with a paste. There’s a few ways of doing it but this was the easiest to do quickly for me. I wanted to see how well it would come up on the stock lense.

Re: Lee's Kuro Revival

Continuing the theme of non-stop experimenting and deliberating without actually committing to anything and finishing! First mock up of rotor etched lenses. Baring in mind that this is the cheapest and easiest way of doing it, it doesn’t look too bad and works as it should. The rotor design needs to...
