Typical of me, I never take any pics.
Had to get something of mine
and Clive's race car because I just love it

Not today, but over the weekend I fitted a Mishi radiator to Shiro since the standard one was leaking, the nipple had broken at the top. Car is now in good health for a change!

Wrong. However, that sounds about as poo as mine did initiallyMilos_Balunovic wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 10:07 amThe renesis cannot brap from bridgeport. There is never an overlap with exhaust. They can only imitate it on s2 with maps.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
The engine in RR54 when I inherited it did not brap yet when I stripped it I found it was a full bridge engine. If I remember rightly Luke has / had the same issue with his bridgeport Yes, I have this 'issue.' It's just the way the porting on mine was done from what I've gathered. There's no way to...

Re: Luke's 231 Resto Project GP53 LTJ
Been a while. No progress has been made since last update; the car has been sat the entire time. I will put it back on the road come next month with the intention of getting the wheel bearing fixed and then put it up for sale. I simply can't spare the time between work and painting other people's pa...

Re: Luke's R53 Cooper S Track Car
New engine has arrived today. Went for a John Cooper Works engine, which from all I've read should offer me an extra few ponies over the standard engine once tuned; ought to be a fairly noticeable difference in such a lightweight car. Should be getting it fitted next week at some point, but we'll se...

Re: Luke's 231 Resto Project GP53 LTJ
All of my enthusiasm for my cars has been worn thin as of late. Taken it off the road. I'm considering moving it on once I can be bothered to get the problem wheel bearing looked at.

Re: Luke's 231 Resto Project GP53 LTJ
He hasn't yet informed his company because the day after this incident, his car failed MOT on all four tyres. Even so, things aren't going to go my way here because neither of us were present and it was on private property. The kid has ignored my request to get a quote from a good shop I know, and o...

Re: Luke's 231 Resto Project GP53 LTJ
Unable to protect NCB until 25 with most companies I believe, so goodbye to my 4 years, hello massive premium hike. The car passed its MOT with only an advisory for the nearside wheel bearing having a bit of play. That will have to wait; I'm going to be SORNing the car until winter passes, because I...

Yup. Should've done more research on the car I'd be running ragged, but you live and learn I suppose. I don't see how things could get any worse.

Yikes! I've got to drive mine for the first time since spring tomorrow. I'm hoping for considerably better luck! :notworthy: Suppose no indications to the cause/damage just yet? Lack of oil. Checked the dipstick after the knocking had started. Bone dry. No dash lights indicating such, but nothing t...

At least I got footage this time around.

Re: Luke's 231 Resto Project GP53 LTJ
Despite being able to do the work that his car needs doing and him even agreeing to let me do it earlier in the day, the kid is pushing for it to get done by another garage. They want £1800 to do a job that would cost me £300 max. I don't see any way out other than talking to him, but he's very diff...

My 8 decided it wanted to give a 2016 Audi S5 a kiss on the cheek. The S5 now needs a new cheek at my expense.

Re: Luke's 231 Resto Project GP53 LTJ
A sh*t 24 hours to say the least. Following on from the Mini's engine blowing on track yesterday, the 8 has rolled into a colleague's Audi S5 and destroyed his passenger side wing. Almost no damage to the 8, bar the side light bracket snapping and a bit of paint that needs touching in. Taken the day...

Re: Luke's R53 Cooper S Track Car
Yeah, it did the job. Was a great day out right up until the end. On my final session at around 2pm I'd lost power, which I thought to be no big deal, as I'd lost power twice earlier in the day to a boost leak that was easily fixed. This loss of power was shortly followed by TAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAP...
