Who was that with? I got a quote for £200 for the screen alone, labour and VAT were on top.
It was a company called budgetwindsreens.co.uk

Re: Windscreen Removal & Replacement / Refit

I was quoted £185+vat to get my screen replaced with a heated one. Was wishing I'd done the other day when the car was a white block of frost.

Re: Farewell from RRP

Sorry to see RRP leaving.

Whenever I get a new car/bike I always search for a good owners forum/club and use the traders recommended. If the traders make the effort to support the club, I like to do my bit to try and support them.

Thanks for being a supporter for the past 3 years.

Re: Bloody battery chargers

My current Halfords charger no longer works and it's only a few years old.
Thinking of getting a decent charger/starter next then I won't have to use my spare bike batteries to start the dead cars.
What to get though? :-k

Re: Welding / Rear Sill Rust

I went to night school to do a car restoration course and we learnt with gas torches. I had a set of expansion chambers (GT750) that needed some work so the cost of the course was covered by fixing them myself. Tried MIG and found it easier after the gas welding. Now use TIG at home. The course was ...

Re: MOT / Emissions

I run approx. 150ml of 2-stroke to a tank of fuel. Last MOT I forgot to run it down and fill with no 2-stroke oil. She still passed the emissions test.
The car came with a sport CAT but I don't know anything else about it. It does bring up the error code on longish motorway drives if I cruise along.

Re: Acoustic “Camera”

When 2 vehicles are caught in the same speed trap they use the 'ladder' on the road to confirm which vehicle tripped the speed camera.
I don't see how you can acoustically isolate a single motorcycle in a group of bikes?
Safety in numbers?

The rotary gods must be smiling down on me this month. I'm supposed to be on the late shift, well I am, but working from home Wednesday as I have some extremely boring online training to complete and snoring at work is frowned upon. :z :D Might be the 3 of us if Aaron is allowed out late on a school...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Had a nice envelope turn up today with my shiny new locking wheel nut key! Managed to strip and rebuild the drivers side front calliper and now the brakes are working great again! Might be a good idea to do the passenger side as a bit of preventative medicine but going to enjoy driving the car for a...

My Rover 75 insurance was due in October, £280. Since Jessica now has a little automatic Lupo to run around in, I changed the RX8 to my name and insured it for £169. 😁👍

If Shell have to use a marketing word like "Dynaflex" to describe it's 30% more cleaning molecules in V-Power, then I wonder what a load of old crock it must really be. On a recent bike trip to the Ukraine I came across a lot of stations selling 100 octane fuel. I rebuilt the engine recently and thi...
