Re: air con compressor diagnostics

i had a problem once with my scale on my machine going out of calibration and it put a massive overload in a car which then blew from the pressure release valve on the compressor, there does not appear to be a relief valve on the rx8 pump.

Re: air con compressor diagnostics

if its blowing the o ring with so little gas then you may have a bad pipe? is it the correct bolt? if the bolt is too long it could bottom out before securing the pipe...is there any debris in the hole the bolt fits into causing the same issue? is it blowing the o ring on regas or when its running?....

Re: Identifying/loosening alignment fixing nuts and bolts

just a random thought...might not be possible but can you loosen the nut and get a jack under it and jack up to put the weight of the car on the nut...then apply the lump hammer?

Re: Aircon scan-up "a/c temp" diagnostic

unless you are joe public then you buy a top up and put it in then it comes right back out...but thats ok. as for the drier...yes it should be changed but if hes doing a bodge with an ebay pump then just vac it much longer,no point fitting a new drier if the pump is no good. when i regass my own car...

Re: Aircon scan-up "a/c temp" diagnostic

if you are into a bit of diy and the system is empty you could change it yourself, these are not bad to do from underneath, just clean it before fitting then get it regassed. get them to add a bit extra oil to account for any loss.

if you want to keep the caps in place 3 small blobs of silicon sealer before fitting will keep them secure and easy to remove if you need to.
