I think coventry mazda did a good job on mine, I was ahead of the game on the recalls having called them as soon as there was a rumour of a recall, one of their mechanics is a rotary enthusiast and tries to carry out work on any rotary that comes in, my recall lasted about 40 minutes and no issues ...

i use block and tackle ,i hang it off a peice of box section steel which goes between 2 trusses in my garage to spread the load...ive had much heavier engines than the 8 hanging off it with no problems.

trouble with tyre sealer is once you use it the tyre is scrap as it cant be repaired properly with sealer in it....i got a spacesaver for mine and the bag is on the garage shelf.

i paid a visit a while back and his yard was full of 8s and he said there were more round the back...as a matter of interest at the other end of the road is an mx5 specialist yard....no connection,just a coincidence,i went there by mistake when looking for lucra.

i took the genuine mazda cat off mine when i saw the invoice in the history i got with the car...it was £1234 plus vat in 2015. it sits in a corner of the garage till mot time.

as long as he unbolted the pulleys from the centre mount with the 4 small bolts rather than undoing the big very tight centre bolt then he will be ok.

i had an 0336 code on mine and it turned out to be the starter motor. i changed a faulty starter motor for a used one and the code appeared and it would not run...i put the old starter back on and the code went away and has still not returned,i changed the sensor...twice and did all the wiring check...

today im getting ready for mallory tomorrow....but ive mostly been a total arse...i went to fill up with v power and filled my 2 jerrycans in the boot then found the nozzle would not fit the tank filler!!! just put 40l of v power deisel in my cans,i didnt know they did v power derv???
