ive got one. compression isnt the best but its very carboned up, so a bottle of cataclean and a good thrash would see it in the 6”s.

starts fine hot and cold.

dont forget youll also have to disconnect the steering rack and brake lines if you go for underneath

your symptoms cannot possibly be clutch related. a clutch either slips or it doesnt.

ive done it all the ways above. out the top is easier than dropping the lot unless you need the box out too, as you still have to lift the car up to get the engine out the bottom.

they work, but how well? it varies.

a decent mask will uv filter enough to save your sight even if it doesn't dim due to a fault. i tested a cheap one and it didn't.
