Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Since its a nice day I'm also going to compression test it if I can get the eccentric shaft sensor unplugged! Wat? No need to unplug the E-shaft sensor... Just pull the fuel pump fuse. you need to pull the e shaft sensor too or you get weird results (certainly on the testers bought in the group buy)

Re: Battery dead, tried to jump start but engine did not turn over?

a battery with a shorted cell will make it hard to jumpstart. if thats the case, youd never jump it, youll have to replace the battery.

Re: tick over trouble.

nothing stopping you plugging all 4 testers at once and (shock horror danger) starting the car. wouldnt drive it like that but running it at idle to see if you have consistent spark.....

Re: Backwoods Supercharger

if you are going to do a SC kit, why not start from scratch with a charger that will actually work with the engine, rather than strangle it at the top end...

there was a thread on here about rotrex supercharges, id look at using one of those.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

So this would be why my exhaust tip is not sitting at all straight... Sadly I won't have funds for a stainless catback for quite some time and I don't see the point in getting a cheapy one... Other than maybe bashing the insides of my cat out since its probably dead anyway. Decisions... New coils c...

Re: Group Buy Options

if you edit the firs post and go to the poll section, there will be a option for expiry. set it to 0 and it should become never expiring. or set it to 100 days and see if that does it.

Re: Fantastic Tyre Review Test

I pulled next to a Alfa Guilia the other day, it wasn’t the quadrafolioliogogleyathingy but still a very nice looking car in an attractive metallic blue. I couldn’t believe my eyes though when I looked at the rear tyre only to see it was a Lansail! There is no way it would have had that on from new...
