Re: Living with a rotary - 3 Years in

Think there is a definate change in how she starts and drives. Seems too random on the starts to be a hot start issue. Which makes me think something other than lower compression is the culprit. It's a bit like before I fitted new coils there was no pull till over 4k and after new coils and plugs th...

Re: Living with a rotary - 3 Years in

She does kind of feel like she's sometimes on 1 rotor at low revs.... once shes spun up it feels like the power is back. Might spend the money on some used injectors and swap them out and see if there is any improvement. I know the advice has been to see a specialist but that may be prohibitively ex...

Re: Living with a rotary - 3 Years in

No EML and did the fault code check in torque and didn't give me anything. Presumably any pending errors would show. It's had new plugs in and then back to the old hotter ones without much difference. Suppose only other thing on ignition side is ess which looked okay visually but didn't pull apart o...

Re: Living with a rotary - 3 Years in

Thanks for that. Reason I suspected injectors was the wet plug, high fuel consumption and lack of low down power.

Is there anything else I should be looking at logging?

Ok if You have an Elm then post up your LTFT at idle and again at steady state around 4k.

Will at least tell us something.
See the above table hopefully it is more informative to you than me....

SSD Hard Drives aren't ridiculously priced these days - so if your old one is a spinner its well worth the upgrade if you do buy new.

Re: Living with a rotary - 3 Years in

So throttle body cleaned at the weekend. Fuel trims reset. Started cold and allowed to idle. Since haven't had to resort to throttle to get her to start. Which is a definate improvement. I still think she occasionally feels underpowered in low rev range and random longer starts. Coils plugs and lead...
