Re: And the compression results are in...

Dwayne at SFP has quite a large workshop, I'm sure if you approached him he would let you store it there in a corner while your weekly/monthly paying him for rebuild parts etc until you have enough to go. In the meantime push bike, get fit and save the pennies! Good models are getting hard to find, ...

Re: Aux and vdi opening rpm

They'll be some benefit in delaying the port opening times. Have a play see how you go.

If the primary is standard the SSV should be left alone but you can have a play with the VDI and APV.

Re: Aux and vdi opening rpm

You only need to mess around with them if you have porting work,

Changing the times means you'll also need to revisit the VE tables and fueling.

Re: buying a used engine

Its a complete lottery, even engines which has come out of cars running perfectly fine when stripped have had major parts such as plates and housings that are unusable in another build. On average we have have to buy 3 engines to make one good one. Chris makes some good points which will improve you...

Re: Choosing new HT leads

I moved away from the Magnecor to MSD, the quality of the boots on MSD are better quality IMO, I've also had issues of the Connectors snapping on the Magnecor especially on the D585 variant. Never once did I manage to get a replacement under warranty (Just saying)

Re: E-shaft letters

E-shafts no longer come with weighting stamps from the factory,

Its always good practice to balance a rotating assembly but if you are not then just go with the E-shaft that is in better condition you'll be fine.

Don't worry Carl, no loss of sale here as I'm planning on replacing my dual for one of your sports cat's, haha. Now the question is, 100 or 200 cel? Any advice to which one? Re: WTB resonated decat pipe.

It won't reduce the noise that much, either go for a standard CAT or possibly the Pettit CAT (you can just buy the front section if you have the rear, or one of our 200 CPI CATS all will help with noise levels. Best of the bunch for DeCATs is the Racing Beat, I wouldn't either bother with any other ...

Thanks, already have trading deal with R-spec but hopefully when buying 30 sets i can negotiate a better deal.

The price quoted is the max price anyone would pay, its circa 10% discount at present but hopefully i can do something better

Re: Porting

Hi Mark Happy to build and port your engine, although we dont provide ported plates I'm afraid. Racing Beat do provide a Street-Port template, i beleive the full bridge is the best option on the 192, ours went like a little rocket producing far better low down torque than the 231 equivalent. We will...

Re: RRP Gauge kit - Group Buy

For comparison the only similar kit is the Racing Beat kit which comes in at £742. This is a lovely kit, I actually have this in my own car and it works very well as well as looking the part, the only downside is that it does not warn you of you breaching your set limits so your eye has to be consta...

RRP Gauge kit - Group Buy

I think its becoming more apparent these days that real gauges are an important part of engine safety, especially for those of you that modify and track your cars, so with this in mind I'd like to offer a potential group buy for the RRP gauge kit for the series 1 only. For you R3 owners I can coming...

Re: Sad Day at RRP!! - Result are in! Engine Teardown

Out of curiosity, is warranty still fully in effect for the remaining mileage/length of time after the engines rebuilt again. So if you're 8 months in you have the remaining 4 months after the rebuild if something warrantable does go wrong? Basically asking if the warranty is completely voided or n...

Re: Sad Day at RRP!! - Result are in! Engine Teardown

hello,i have read this thread very carefully, and i think i have deduced from it that James,by his own admission, has made one or two mistakes, and that RRP have gone way beyond the call of duty. My observation is,that as RRP have probably provided rebuilt engines for other diy fitters, and wondered w...
