Re: Mazdaspeed spoiler

Ok, genuine spoiler, going for sale for £300 I think or best offer, top part of spoiler has some peelage and what looks like light scratches so will need repainting. Original brackets in whatever alloy they use (not the steel cheap copy) and bolts all present as well (which must be rare as mine were...

Mazdaspeed spoiler

Just got a mazdaspeed spoiler that I was going to butcher and make a one-off spoiler, but I've strong feelings that it could be a genuine spoiler judging by the fitment of it. Anyway to check for a Mazda number or anything? If it's genuine then I'm reluctant to butcher but I also already have a genu...

alarm fob battery replaced - not working?

hi guys, Battery in fob died yesterday so I'd been using the key and alarm was sounding until I started the car (which I expected of course). I've replaced the battery today, but the fob isn't controlling the car yet and a search shows a mention of a reset procedure? Does anyone know what this proce...

Re: Child Seat

Re: Child Seat

So, got my new seat today and fitted it so heres a summary lol it's the joie stages seat, isnt isofix and fits with seatbelt but has good safety reviews (most importantly!) But also great customer reviews. First thoughts were it appeared well built and good quality which is of course what you want! ...

Re: Child Seat

It says its suitable on that honest john thing but I question the validity of that! But it's available from halfords so I'm sure I could get them to test fit it before I bought it too surely? It's got great specifications and safety ratings so I'm leaning heavily to that at the moment. Our other joi...

Re: Child Seat

Well our main car is a hyundai ix35 the car seat in rx8 is just for when wife is at work 2 days a week and not for any long journeys or anything (rx8 is a bit loud for that haha). We have a joie isofix swivel type 1 in main car but for mine I just want something for short journeys to go to the park ...

Re: Child Seat

So far I'm looking at the joie stages car seat, rear facing, reputable make, lasts until 4 years old and in price bracket. But no isofix on that 1 I dont think. Wondered if anyone had 1 installed and what fitment was like on theirs

Child Seat

Well, the time has come when the wife is back at work after the birth of our daughter, and rather than lugging the car seat between cars, I'm looking for a car seat for the rx8 and wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Looking for around the £100 mark and doesn't need to be isofix I just want...

S G Petch Darlington (Recall work)

Had her in on wednesday for recall work that was supposed to only be for 1 day (rang the day before and said they needed her for 3 days instead!). Had fuel pump seal replaced, airbags replaced and ball joints and lower arms replaced. When picking up I was informed that the track rod end on drivers s...

Re: Rx8

Couple of options for in the north east for a reliable compression test and a good rate: 1. Ingleby Autos in Ingleby Barwick (where our meets are held and owns 4 rx8s himself) 2. Matthew Teare in Shildon who is our local RX8 breaker and emergency parts guy hes fixed mine multiple times :) Both would...

Re: Rx8

Meet is usually in Stockton just off the A19. Never a good sign when an ad says it needs plugs and coils though that suggests theres an issue already. Not many autos to choose from either mostly manuals. I'll have a little search now too :) I used to live in the Stockton area . Just let me know whe...
