North East Meet (Compression Testing, BBQ, Workshop Lessons & General Banter) - Saturday 18th July **1pm**

North East Meet.jpg Holding our first meet of the year on 18th July starting at 1pm at usual place, we are however having to limit numbers for obvious reasons and social distancing to be ensured at all times. Due to the nature of limiting numbers, we will need names of attendees in advance though. ...

Does it have the autoexe badge anywhere? It's different to other autoexe intakes I've seen and doesn't have the autoexe pipe?

The injectors aren't bulletproof and can have issues.

What's becoming more common is corrosion on the electrical connections as the loom goes onto the injectors.

I'll give this a check as well, thanks Dave! :)

All recommendations gratefully received, pulling whats left of my hair out at the minute trying to solve this! Injectors are another thing on my check list even though I keep reading they're bulletproof :|

Hi
I don’t know if you have tried this but my car had a flat spot between 4500 and 5500 rpm but would rev out no problem I tried all the usual suspects vac leaks ect.i finally tracked it down to the fuel pump regulator,I changed it and the car is back to normal.
Mark
I'll try this next - thanks!

Re: Dave's black S1 231

Hi Dave, Do you have any problems with the fascia kit you fitted? I have read bad reports on the Metra kit and yours is the only alternative I have heard of. I would be grateful for any feedback you can provide! Absolutely none whatsoever, blowers all work like standard form and arent turning 1 mil...

Re: Dave's black S1 231

Update. Fuel pump not seated correctly was my fuel leak! Thanks mazda [-X but pressure tested, clips replaced with jubilee clips, and tank filled to the brim, drove it for an hour and not a leak in sight! 1 job ticked off - only another 5 million to go #-o Special thanks to dean for being a legend :)

Re: Dave's black S1 231

Well, removed exhaust, propshaft and that big beam (forgotten the name dean said #-o ) and dropped fuel tank to check everything and why there was a leak, all supervised by dean of course  From the pic, the pump is the culprit that has been leaking and when dean inspected it wasn't fully down. ...

Re: GReddy turbo conversion

That's interesting, so it needs to go to specialist so really would need assembling there as well so they could map it too? Or is remote mapping an option for turbo applications too? I wonder what price is in comparison to buying an adaptronic? Lol

GReddy turbo conversion

Hypothetically, I've seen that you dont need to buy a standalone ecu for turbo builds now, and that versatune can be used, does this need to be done by a specialist or can a novice do this? Does anyone know if theres a base map as well? Thanks
