try out Merlin Motorsport at Castle Combe, they might be able to advise and supply what you need.

worst i ever used were what "arrived" on my old 192, Rotalla.

Re: Fantastic Tyre Review Test

Really should change the budget 'Runway' tyres the PZ came with.. Could be worse, our daily Mazda 6 was running 'Landsail' tyres when we bought it. If ever there was a tyre name that invokes the distinct behaviours you DON'T want from a fricking tyre. curiously the experience cars at Combe run on l...

Re: Billet Sump anyone?

regarding the internal baffling, will it only be side to side? i've been noticing surge when under breaking once my oil level gets below half and this is enough to trigger the low oil warning light. seems to be that i have a narrow margin for oil quantity when tracking my car. could be worth investi...

Re: supercharger centrifugal

surely though Chris you could just use a front mounted intercooler and the stock intake.

that way the fab work would be much reduced.

Cheers Nick, not much point though as it will be going back to the garage next week.

Was more a cash of satisfying my curiosityas to why the car wasn't behaving.

I can only hope my mum hasn't done any damage to the engine by running it.

Re: can a failed or failing Cat cause starting problems?

I was surprised to see that the coolant system was pressurised with the car cold though, I presume that is also a sign of a bad head gasket?

Re: can a failed or failing Cat cause starting problems?

Yeah seen it before, was looking into the open expansion bottle and did see some bubbles

Mind you did open the heater all the way up to flush it through as well but every time you let go of the throttle you had a glug of air shoot into the expansion bottle.

Re: can a failed or failing Cat cause starting problems?

I'm leaning towards a head gasket problem The expansion bottle was empty with the engine cold, however released under pressure when removing the cap. After being topped up the expansion bottle proceeded to overflow once the car was running. If you rev the engine with the cap off you get lots of air ...

Re: can a failed or failing Cat cause starting problems?

I did check that with my obd scanner and it was reading 41 degrees after my run the the shops this afternoon, I'm going to check it tomorrow and compare with the dash temp sensor with the car cold.

Hat was one of my thoughts though.
