Re: ^^^TRACKDAY, Snetterton 300, Wed 7 August £179^^^

Snetterton is fun in the rain

Just don't want to have to bring 2nd set of wheels. Can soneone please confirm Toyo R888's are drivable in light rain / damp conditions, if so I think I sould be ok even with Met Office forecast.

Cheers,
Terry

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Finaly got the 4 outstanding recalls done. 2 around tbe fuel pump, and both front airbags. Used Guildford mazda, no issues with them, all work complete within 2 1/2 hours. Now just keeping an eye out for any fuel leaks but so far so good. If anyone else in the area still has recalls, i have no issue...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Not exactly just today. Since I had my semi slicks on the car I took the oppertunity to give my 40th wheels a good clean. Find that I could no longer put up with the corrosion on them, not just the in side by the outside as well. IMAG0307.jpg IMAG0308.jpg However not ready to fork out for a professi...

Re: Acoustic “Camera”

No drive by data. Only info I currently have since REVi intake and RAM Air being fitted was the static test a Combe on 1st June. 86dB at 4.5k. However was black flagged at Brands a couple of years back as (with standard intake) the drive by noise limit was being triggered now and again on the start ...

Re: CONVOY LIST for 2019 JDM Castle Combe

Sorry a bit late to the party and a bit confused. We can join at Newbury. Look like the Reading lot are leaving at about 7:10am so will be at Newbury around 7:30am? Correct Reading Convoy will pull into Newbury Services around 07:30. So if you can be near the edge of the parking rather than deep in...

Number Plate back on, set higher this time so should have no issues with my ramps or those at MOT and Tyre centers.

Re: CONVOY LIST for 2019 JDM Castle Combe

Newbury (Chieveley services) is probably easiest for us, Reading services is a pain in the neck for us to get to now. Looks like we're the only ones in that spot for now though, so we might see if we can tag onto the back of the Reading convoy at 25 past as it passes Theale. Sam, We will do a drive...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Changed wheels, semi slicks now on. Been keeping a close eye on my ECB Red Stuff front pads, hoping to last until the Mintex 1144 arrived, but they have given out and would not last it to Combe tell about a couple of track sessions as well #-o IMAG0193.jpg So fitted Brembos, so now matched front and...

Re: Numberplate Relocation

Ref number plate relocation:

Job for this evening, as following the fitting of PZ suspension my plate started to catch ramps and the such, approximately 1" lower now (low profile jack no longer fits under either).

Had to take plate off yesterday to get it onto the alignment ramp.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Just had 4 wheel alignment done since PZ suspension fitted 300 miles ago.

Very minor adjustments required, so minor only charged 50% for the work. All arrows now dead center, ready for Combe :thumleft:

Re: Oil change including coolers

Definitely an interesting addition to the oil change, definitely worth a try. Even without the jacking from side to side. Easy to see how much more you get out buy changing the container before you blow it out. What pressure did you use on the air line? How far did you insert the pipe into the fille...
