Re: Honda Civic ep3 Type R.

Little engine bling arrival, but functional upgrade. Few of my hose's are showing signs of wear and best to catch it sooner rather than later. Ordered a full silicone hose set with fresh stainless clamps, nothing worse then sticking fresh goods on then seeing rusty clamps etc. Just waiting on the tw...

Re: AEM Induction Kit Brand New!

I forgot to add it includes the air filter sock in the kit and that square number plate holder you can see in my picture. Don't hold me to it, but I think the red is a very close paint match to the Mazda Velocity Red? Has a deep cherry red look to it kinda.

I've got a Racing Beat kit waiting to go on mine, £600 for the R3 version. Although its looking like there no use to me with my new engine set up. Don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing, lol.

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

Refitting time, yay! Then needed to drill a huge hole in the wall for an extractor fan and wire it up. I re-used an old isolator switch from the old toilet. The vent tube will join back into the old hole in the wall once I get a couple of brackets I need. Looking pretty good now, kinda to nice to ac...

Re: Honda Civic ep3 Type R.

I meant to mention, that original subframe bolt clearance is just shoddy engineering. The designer would have specified a correctly clearanced hole, then the production engineers and/or supplier would have re-specified a wider tolerance, as it reduces costs, speeds-up production and reduces QA reje...

Re: Honda Civic ep3 Type R.

Another thing that usually get missed etc is the timing chain and guides on the K-series. Recommended to be done every 100,000 miles as the chain stretches they say, but to be honest its more of it wearing from use in the chain pins. I'm on 185,000 so well over due and since I'm going to be increasi...

Re: Honda Civic ep3 Type R -“The Terminator”.

Couldn't go fitting my nice shinny new front brake kit without addressing the rears could I... My OCD couldn't handle the main fact my discs wont match on the rears, plus they aren't anything special in particular. So clearly I just had to upgrade those to, I got RPB (Race Performance Brakes) set of...

@Goobie how have you found the RB flywheel? Any notable positives and/or negatives? I see your post the other week asking about these, further details about light weight flywheels are a few pages back in case you missed it. Anyway, more to your answer, no idea. Re: Honda Civic ep3 Type R -“The Terminator”.

Got some more hugely over looked quality upgrade items for my handling. ep3steering01.jpg First one is a steering rack arms raiser. When you lower the suspension it then makes the arms to the track rod ends no longer straight creating kinda like a "v" shape which then puts extra stress to the steeri...

Re: Tyre question

The general rule/advice “used” to be always put the new on the front. Some years ago now that all changed and hand books etc all state the rear. This is all pretty much down to two factors, rain and most of all sitting water on the roads! Worn tyres offer little to no water channeling, after lots of...

Re: Honda Civic ep3 Type R -“The Terminator”.

More goodies! First up, wheel spacers. My new 6-pot brake kit (Calipers.) doesn't clear the standards wheels by about 3mm. I was looking to add a full set anyway to give it a bit more "stance" as they say. Usually people on these go for 15mm front and 20mm rear, but I want to keep it squared and got...

Thanks. So my friend popped by today and plastered the fresh boards and skimmed over/around the old parts...
