Re: T200 CAD Supercharged RX-8 Engine Renaissance

This may sound a little on the extreme side, but with the countless wiring issues you’ve been having, I would consider swapping out the wiring loom for a stock non messed with one then just add in after whatever gauges/mods you have after testing if there is any different. In some rare cases, all it...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Got the RX-8 compression tested great results for a £600 quid car and gave Alex some jib for selling his... Well he does still have it so that all good. Had a great day at Silverstone and the car performed admirably around the track. Can't wait for more track action! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.co...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

What kit were you using to grind the floor back Goobie? I was looking at hiring one of these for a double garage sized space: https://www.hss.com/hire/p/htc-gl270-grinder I was using a 250mm dia disc grinder from a local hire place which is better priced than that one, but I don’t think they are a ...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

Right, so here's what 50 hours, YES FIFTY HOURS of floor grinding got me! I need to spray the whole place down with water and brush it out as sweeping etc is just blowing the cement dust around and I'm just chasing my tail with it. Good thing tho, the joints where the floor was laid in sections are ...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

A long over do job, the floor! I honestly thought it would take me a day or poss two nights to grind the floor back to bare or near bare in prep for epoxy resin coating, how wrong was I...…... This is the worse job I've ever done. I spent a solid 5 days on this, the parts I thought was going to be e...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

Not used one myself but I'd look into getting a spray gun for all that ? An airless spray gun is definitely the way to go, if you don't mind masking all the windows, floors etc. Funny you guys should mention it as I was already on the case and was waitting for the easter weekend sales for one I alr...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

We could all descend with buckets of emulsion and white gloss too! Now that is a good idea!!!! Who’s coming??? Haha Stupid question time: I really liked the look of the walls when they were boarded and bare. Do they have to be plastered (like for protection) or was it a cosmetic decision? Totally i...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

When is the opening ceremony? No idea, but I will be looking to having some kind of meet down there once I feel things are good enough. Will be on a sunday as everyone is closed, so no worry about taking over the business park. June/July seems do-able, will have to post up something nearer the time...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

Well well, finally got some help in. Or shall I say I was the help? Bucket filling, cleaning and so on... Anyway, finally after buying 375kg of plaster, 25 meter of beading and 200 meter of joint tape I nearly have the first of one room at the final finishing stage! Its still drying out, but here's ...

It is immensely satisfying when you put the power on and the new/replaced lights/sockets/taps etc work. Pauline just says "Well, isn't that what's supposed to happen? but she really doesn't appreciate how many opportunities there would be to get it wrong. Yeah, thanks. I took it to a whole new leve...

I have a axialflow shifter, Rotary Revs stocks them. Not a huge price item either, so not sure what the drama is as have seen in another thread about it but yet to comment.

Things changed since I bought mine?

I spent a good two solid long nights on wiring. I didn't really picture much as just some thing aren't worth the bother or of any real great visual interest of change of appearance. Huge pile of wire and mess everywhere etc, but relocated main shop floor switch and separated power feed and switch fo...

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

Those are some nice doors (IMO) - be a real shame to paint them. Hopefully you can limit it to just (tinted?) varnish. Just your level of effort here is incredible, never mind that your finish looks pretty fekkin' good! Thank you. The more I look at them, the more I really want to leave them be. Fi...

Pink, but purple would tick my boxes too! Already have a set from you in red, but would buy another set if you knock up a batch in a colour that I find eye catching.

Re: The Ultimate Man Cave (Warehouse) *Picture Heavy!*

Picked up three solid OAK doors for a killer price! Worked out same price as the hollow cheapy's via my contacts. Weigh 30 kilos each and being solid OAK, bit of a nightmare and time consuming to trim up and carve out the hinges and mortice locks sections. They look awesome, be a shame to paint them...

Re: Uprated engine mounts?

Excellent posts from Dave and Pete above. Back to engine mounts, lol. I fitted RX Performance to my R3, I like the more solid feel they give and the sharper clutch bite sensation from less engine movement personally. It suits my driving style more. There is more cabin vibration, but nothing really w...

Bought a batch of loft flooring chip board to cover the top for my storage area. Got twelve sheets, but managed to cover it in ten. Collected them in my EP3 would you believe, only 212kgs, haha. Staggered fitted and then opposite way over the old section as the celling joist run other direction, plu...
