Re: R3 Oil cooler Lines

I got a brand new set that I’ll be selling if Dan doesn’t want them. Don't suppose you've still got them have you Goobie? Looks like I might not have time to wait for the RRP lines to be ready :( I still have them and I'm still waiting payment, been waiting over three weeks now without letting me k...

Re: RRP MKII Exhaust systems

The Pettit also does away with the donut and have reported no issues in doing so, I fully expect this quality system to do the same. My Pettit has the donut section. It comes as a slip on so should you want to add it / swap it with the front modular sections it then become sleeved interchangeable. ...

Re: R3 Oil cooler Lines

Thanks for the input guys. I've been looking at the oil cooler lines kit on Mishimoto uk website and it states that the kit is a direct replacement for the 04 to 08 model Rx8 only :-k . Have now decided to go for Racing Beat kit :thumleft: I got a brand new set that I’ll be selling if Dan doesn’t w...

Well as luck would have it, Habbo Foxx was at the Cadwell Park track day and has one ;) Please see below for the Mazdaspeed on an R3. He also has the MZ spats which I would probably look to go for as well with either option :thumleft: You know you want this Dan! https://www.hzdynamics.co.uk/spoiler...

Re: R3 Oil cooler Lines

I have a Series 1 engine out of a car currently which has the Racing Beat Oil pipes fitted to it. As you have an R3 if you care to drive over to Cheltenham you could compare the differences. Thanks Chris. As we seem to be going down this rabbit hole and i can assume there may be some interest in th...

Re: R3 Oil cooler Lines

I can take some detail picture's of my kit should that be of help. As mention, the block fixing is unique. I've kinda pre agreed first refusal on the sale of my R3 kit, so sending it out for parts to be cloned not ideal. Speaking of which, I could get the kit copy'd but I don't think that would go d...

Re: rx8 r3 best mods for track?

If you feel the tyres aren't holding up enough to your driving style?, I'd go for a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2! No need to be swapping round wheels etc at the track plus they are a beast tyre anyway.

Re: WTB R3 Seats and Wheels

I've had three R3s. The seats in the two 2009 cars were uncomfortable after 20 minutes due to the back lower bar's digging into my back. The seats in the 2010 car I've had for 6 years have given Annie & I no problems whatsoever. Funny you should say that, my first R3 was the same after an hour if d...

Re: G's S2 R3 Refresh - gh05t O.E.+ Bye Bye Rotary!

I think this is probably one of two last pictures I can post without showing things fitted to the "replacement" engine now. Not finished, but one of the manifolds in its final configuration and tacked up ready for a full weld all round in its purpose built jig for reproductions. No, I've not built t...

Re: G's S2 R3 Refresh - gh05t O.E.+ Bye Bye Rotary!

Clutch is going full hydraulic right up to the release bearing, this will make even the stiffest clutches good for daily use. Sticking with the standard box for now for stage one of this swap. There will be three stages to this, first one mainly getting everything in and working as OE as possible wh...

More parts!

Oh would you look at that, only gone and pictured them face down. Parts description on the flip side.

So much easier to do thing's like this now compared to the early 2000's. 3D scanning, 3D printing, better CAD support, direct CNC etc.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Finally got round to fitting the gauges to the car. Took most of the day, bit well worth it in the end. Considering the gauge holder (vent) cost me around £65, I think it's great! (Tape and cloth to hold it down whilst silicone sets). https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200919/c908e9431283596a45e811...

Well the Brands Hatch trip and back helped me hit the 300 mile club. When re filling it took 60 litres, so on a longer run if I brave it?,I don't see me having much trouble clearing 325 as still had around 3 litres left.

Re: R3 Suspension - springs vs coilovers

If you want a drop then coilovers are the way to go. Some on here including myself (on my S1) have Tein Monosport which I have to say are superb. You can adjust the ride height and damping, the springs are stiffer than standard. In my opinion with the dampers adjusted to half way (8clicks from full...
