The warranty companies used by dealers I worked for simply would not cover the RX-8 so as above checking the T&Cs is advisable.
The warranty being offered is 3 months so if the engine is showing good compression the chances of it going pop are slim.

@Devon - the two smaller holes on the cat are just for holding the protective shield so the o2 sensor can still be screwed in fine on yours

Hello, a stronger/quicker starter motor can help prevent hot start issues on RX8s with low compression. A new starter is not a surefire sign of low compression though, the standard fit starters were upgraded and improved throughout the life of the RX-8 so a new one can be a good idea for an earlier ...

Not sure if this is what you’re asking but correct order for coils going left to right is L1 T1 L2 T2 as per the picture in your post.
