Re: Customer feedback
I hope nobody minds me mentioning it on this thread, but on the topic of above ^ I've had a Mishimoto oil cooler line set with the wrong fittings before (nothing to do with RRP, supplied elsewhere). Bags labelled with the part that should be included, but the fitting being the wrong size / not what ...

One of those cars that I could never take my eye off since seeing it at Rockingham in 2016, I hope it stays at least within arms reach of the club!

Re: Any opinion/experience with this "DNA High Performance Air box"?
Nah. Until they can prove (as they reasonably should be able to given their budgets) on a dyno that it actually improves power (increased airflow isn't much good if all that extra air is roasting hot) then keep your money in your wallet. You're not expected to be a risk taker / guinea pig AND spend ...

Re: Engine issue!! Need advice please
Just off the A275? I maaaaay be able to help but at that mileage if certainly could be compression (or it won't be great either way) and there's not much I could do to fix it if that is the case. I'm picking some stuff up from my unit at the weekend and could drop something off as I drive back if it...

Re: ***TRACKDAY Brands Hatch - Friday 4th December SOLD OUT***
I had issues with a dashcam which was due to a fake SanDisk microSD card - it worked fine for a while, they didn't, and would sometimes not record sound, or anything. Fake flash memory is rampant these days, even items priced at roughly what you'd expect them to be if genuine. Diagnosed with "ATTO D...

I'm not surprised!
The shaft has clearly shattered into 3 pieces and flew to bits

They're quite new to the market, built by a chap called Ciprian Dalvaru in Bucharest.

Re: Jet Air question
That's the one! There's usually a little metal bracket and pipe under the APV motor that is part of the pipework also. The two nipples higher up (rear has a rubber cap in place, front is missing the cap) are the service/maintenance nipples where Mazda suggest to use for their version of Seafoam (Zoo...

Re: Jet Air question
If you take the lower intake manifold off, you will see two hollow metal straws (4), forking out like a snake's tongue into the centre iron, directed at the lower part of the primary ports (3). This air is fed from one of the 3 delicate plastic 90 degree elbows housed on the intake accordion pipe, n...

Re: Overheated RX8
I should hope that we can trust the RAC to do a simple test - for half the price you could stick some K-Seal in it and possibly get some more miles out of it (though not without the usual caveats).

Re: Overheated RX8
To be honest I doubt it needs a rotary specialist - they'd be no more clued up than a regular mechanic when it comes to checking for exhaust gasses in the coolant - they'll use the same tool and there's no user input / deciphering required. If you can read a pregnancy test, you can tell if a water s...

Re: Tein Street Basis Z - wrong instructions?
Yes it will probably be a struggle to get them online in the UK, but have you asked your local Mazda dealer? They've usually managed to get me parts overnight and I do believe sometimes with a small OC discount. I'm pretty sure (happy to be corrected) that the club stock of them came from a UK Mazda...

Have I missed something or is this the part that is needed and it somehow hasn't been linked yet?
Pretty sure they can be had from Mazda dealers.

Re: URGENT - compression tester
Pop the air box back and up (no need to unplug MAF etc). Reach under it, and between the AC belt - unplug the crank position sensor electrical plug. Spark and fuel disabled, is now ready for comp test. A plug out of each rotor, top or bottom doesn't matter. Throttle pedal up or down, doesn't really ...
