Re: **SAFETY ALERT: Fuel Tank recall - Fuel Leaks & Other Issues"
1. Have you received this recall notice? YES. 2. Have you had the work completed? YES. 3. If you have had the recall completed, which dealership did the work and roughly when? Snows Mazda, Portsmouth last year I think. 4. If you have received the recall and not had the work done, what is your reason...

Re: Where do you get your parts from?
Thanks for everyone who has replied. I must admit I bought my last plugs from JP4Mance and they've never given any issues (over ahem 22000 miles - I know #-o ) but it's good to have the opinion of others. I do share the concerns that there is a big price differential between suppliers (Checked 5 sup...

Re: Where do you get your parts from?
I need some plugs and JP4mance seem competitive via eBay. Any experience with them as I hear horror stories of eBay traders and fake products?
Thanks Steve

Re: Standard ride height
Hi. Just to conclude this. As previously stated, these were lightly used units which were already built up. I took them back to the garage who fitted them and he noticed an issue at the strut top end of the rears. The springs on both sides were not seating properly in the strut top. Not something ob...

Re: Standard ride height
Measured on the drive but in different locations so possible. Will try again somewhere else. OK. Tried in a different place and front seems similar at around 370mm but rears are still 10mm out side to side. You can visualise it as one tyre sits 'on' the arch but the other is proud of it. I'll get th...

Re: Standard ride height
Hi Pete Again, thanks for the reply. I have to confess that it is indeed the Tein Street Basis suspension. Bought from a friend with about 1000 miles on as he was breaking the car so they're pretty much as new. I didn't get any fitting instructions but they were built up. My suspension was getting a...

Re: Standard ride height
Thanks Chris
I did get in touch with them and they did say see if they settle after a while and if not to bring it back so I may just do that.
I did check the spring seat heights and they do seem to be more or less the same side to side so does need to be checked over again.

Re: Standard ride height
I assume this is directed towards warpc0il ?
But I would assume it's the top arm bushes as you need to unbolt these to slot the shocks in.
Maybe also the ARB bolts??

Re: Standard ride height
Not sure what they did to be honest but they're used to suspension changes so not sure this is the issue but I can check. I'm not sure which nuts would need slackening to be honest as I don't know which ones he messed about with to get the units in. Anyone know where I can get the installation instr...

Standard ride height
This may be a stupid question but does anyone know the standard ride height for a 2008 RX8? I've had some Tein suspension fitted and they haven't done a thing with the ride height and it measures different side to side (2.5cms at the back). I forgot to take measurements before I gave them the car. A...

Bucket seat and seat mounts for RX8
As the title suggests really. Looking for bucket seat and mount options for the RX8 as am looking at track days next year and would like a little more support than the OEM seat.
Anything else I need to think about?
Thanks

Re: Recommend me a tow car...
Er, I'm in Hampshire. Granted not a million miles away from Surrey.
Also, I'm of an age where I don't need a test.
As for budget. Well I think it's probably more GC than Shogun..

Recommend me a tow car...
Hi All
Thinking of using my RX8 as solely a trackday car.
What have you guys used or recommend as a tow car / van?
Would ideally like something that gets decent(ish) MPG.
Any thoughts?

Re: Tein flex coilovers too soft???
Worth knowing that we have a Tein offer on this link below which ends very soon. This Tein is staggeringly cheaper than the standard non adjustable suspension mentioned above which offers adjustable platforms to set the ride height where you want it and also offers a much more performance orientate...

Re: MOT and 2T Premix
Premix at the levels we use makes effectively no difference to the emissions - there is no need to skip it for an MOT :thumleft: Just to finish this thread. Car passed it's MOT on Friday with premix present and correct. Really pleased. Advisory on the rear drop links but we all know they're made of...

MOT and 2T Premix
Hi Tried a quick search but couldn't find the answer to this one. Can I assume people don't continue to run premix for their MOT? I would assume this would lead to an emissions fail? So is the best advice to: 1. Run some cataclean through prior to the MOT 2. Give the car a good run and get everythin...

Re: 300 Mile Club (S1 RX8s) or 325 mile club for S2 RX8s
Managed to join the 300 mile club on my first tank full after getting my RX8. To be fair it's had a full service and full ignition upgrade (D585, leads and plugs) and running on shell nitro+ (optimax) It's a 2008 231 with just over 28K miles. Mix of motorway, A road and hooning so pretty happy. http...
