I didn’t want the weight of a full cage but I wanted to stiffen and brace the car. Not sure if there is any real benefit but it does look nice
Can you add a picture from the boot side so I can see it better ?

Bolted into place as easy as anything. Very well made and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Highly recommended :thumleft: 8)
That strut brace is huge - do you find it effective ?

Pretty tall then
I’ll can’t remember what model seats I have but I’ll add tomorrow
I’m sure Neil will be along shortly , he can make you some base brackets then it’s just the side mounts you need unless you can weld ?

Re: Bucket seat and seat mounts for RX8

As the title suggests really. Looking for bucket seat and mount options for the RX8 as am looking at track days next year and would like a little more support than the OEM seat. Anything else I need to think about? Thanks Steve Depending on your height a lot of seats can be a tight squeeze Sent fro...

Re: Help at Bedford issue with RX8

What you describe suggests the thrust bearing is not pushing on the clutch diaphragm spring to release pressure on the plate. However it’s odd that the clutch pedal feels the same and this could mean the disc is stuck to either the clutch cover or flywheel but that normally only happens if the clut...

I just want to say that the guy who designed the connectors under the driver’s seat is a sadistic arse who needs a good hiding; it took me over an hour yesterday to undo the big white connector, getting into body contortions that are not good for me at my age! The only other option was first Dave, and I'd like to see anyone try to get the power down in first. I've never used first on any track. Actually, this is a situation where running the 5.1 diff ratio is a major advantage. Pulling out of the hairpins at Snetterton, Croft and Oulton Park was ...

Re: Clive's 520 BHP Super GT RX-8 Race Car

I think that’s what Pete is referring too . I was told that by heal toeing it helped balance the car under heavy breaking and down changes in particular when wet . As if to rev slightly so when clutch is let out, the flywheel is already spinning more so less load to lock up . That’s just on standard...
