Re: Tein flex coilovers too soft???

I originally wanted to buy the street flex for my 8 when I had it. To my understanding through the research i did at the time it was an older model which has been superseded by the flex z (even though they're slightly different). The flex z is compatible with the edfc whereas I don't think the stree...

(I wonder if any of the recovery services still tow with the car's rear wheels rotating on the ground?)
I had my work van towed on a dolly coming out the back of an AA van about 2 months ago. So yes they do (it was the first time I've ever seen that setup so probably not all that common)

Re: Tow Hook Ring & Seat Belt Colour Change

My car passed 2 mot's with them fitted front and rear at 2 different mot places too. Surely it should have failed both if it wasn't legal/safe to have them on there.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

I've always found yellow stuff pads to wear very well for track and road use. Definitely make sure they slide properly within the carriers, made this mistake with a set of standard pads and they wore unevenly and much much sooner than they should have

What one did you get?
got a re-anamia one from rhd japan :thumleft:
Was there any particular reason for this one over the Axial Flow shifter?
I may be wrong but I think the re-anamia one is for 5 speed box and axial flow is for the 6 speed box

Re: Track day or road rubber on standard car?

Done a few track days over the last couple of years. I ended up using Michelin pilot supersport 245/40r18 for the road and for wet track conditions. They have been great on track and fantastic on the road with plenty of rim protection at that size. In dry conditions I ended up using toyo r888's 225/...

I had a fantastic day yesterday. :D Thank you very much to everyone who organised or helped to make the day so enjoyable. :thumleft: Sorry I wasn't about much chatting and mingling in the garages. With this being the last track day in my car I spent my time trying to get the most out of it. Even mis...

Re: ^^^TRACKDAY, Snetterton 300: Monday 19th Feb, £99 or less^^^

That's the worst thing nothing, car is going great atm. I've finally realised that I need to grow up and buy a house. To afford this I have to sell everything I own ( except the 8 ) but won't be able to afford to run it so it'll be covered up on the driveway immediately after brands hatch on 1st dec...

It was sold exactly the same to me too. I was told they would recover on breakdown at a public track day. I'll be interested to see how this plays out for you. Good luck

Re: Eibach 20 mm spacers

I drilled the back of the wheel when I had this issue, quick and easy with no signs of problems with the wheels after doing at least 5 track days on them.
I had no option though as i didn't have a grinder and I needed the car back on the road.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

The most concerning item is the 007 Oil Leak - as any oil leak on an RX8 is licensed to kill your engine, especially if it's an oil cooler hose or just a porous sump. Was it an actual leak or just a top-up spillage? It was a spillage on a hot engine that then ran down too fast for me to clear up in...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Installed some part worn rear pads, managed to wear out the last set at Cadwell and need to use my car this week. Strange that the car has gone through a set of rear pads but the fronts still have a little bit of life left in them :-k
