Silicon Hoses

Looking to do a bit of engine bay dress up on my S2.
Any recommendations for good quality hoses and breather pipes, apart from the obvious Samco.
I realise not all hoses are of the same quality/grades, so has anyone any experience of other makes ?

Re: Dealer Experience - whats yours like?

Took my R3 to Macklin Motors (Mazda) in Hamilton for airbag recall, work was completed within 2 hours while I waited. Tech (John) seemed to be very clued up on RX8's and even showed me component part he replaced and explained what the issue was. Told him I also had my 231 with various recalls includ...

Tony - Exiled Viking - has the widest experience with lambo kits, as I think he tried two different ones on his (now Chris') car and has helped other member fit theirs.
Thanks Dave, I now know who to contact for info/guidance.

Lambo/Scissor Door Hinge Kits

I've seen a few members have these kits fitted.
I must admit I like the look of these but would appreciate some advice on fitment/practicality/cost/where to buy.
Also prepared to be slated :D

Re: Vinyl Wrap

3M is good quality stuff and if you tell your supplier what it's for they'll be able to recommend the right quality (cast I believe). Avery is also pretty good. They're both expensive but for the sizes you're looking at it shouldn't add up to much £ in total. There's also something called "air rele...

Looking to wrap the silver trims along the transmission tunnel as mine are pretty scuffed front driver and passenger side.

Applied with a hairdryer easily enough ?

Re: Tyre recommendations for the R3?

Hi Samwich, I currently have Vredestein Ultrac Vortis fitted to my R3 and find them very good in both dry and wet conditions, not a lot of road noise either. Don't know about longevity/wear but as I do less than 5000 miles a year in either car this doesn't really bother me. Would have preferred Vred...

Re: PAS Problem

1. Have you reset the steering centre point? Read the manual for how to do this, but you will need a proper OBD11 service tool (normal readers won't do). Dealers can do this reset if you don't have the tool. 2. It may be mechanical. When did you last have the camber and castor set. Castor, in parti...

PAS Problem

I know this has been done in detail before but thought I'd post up my power steering experience. Firstly the steering was always a little harder turning the wheel to the right and I've obviously got used to it and compensated accordingly. After the stiff steering being mentioned to me a few times wh...

No idea who fitted it but definately a Toyosport catback fitted.
I may ask Ben (Minisaki) if he knows any history on car as he compression tested it not so long ago.
