Ooooo. Fancy.

Good spot.

I was kinda hoping for a bit less, but that is cheap for a set of R3 wheels... Cheers

2x R3 wheels - SORTED

Hey peeps,

After a pair of R3 wheels, either individuals from various people or a pair.

Not fussed about condition providing they don't have cracks or welds - scuffed, kerbed and so on is fine.

Cheeeeers.

The bottom plate is inexpensive, the sump is the annoying bit - if you're on about producing anything Mr Ryan ;)

Re: R3 Steering wheel (Spare for retrim)

Just to jump in on this one, the MK3 MX5 wheels are identical to the R3, however not all 5s came with cruise control, so if it's for a full replacement then make sure you get the right edition, if it's just for a spare then crack on. I've got to ship some parts out and you'd be welcome to borrow my ...

Re: R3 Sohn

The R3 has an electronic metering pump rather than a mechanical, as such detangling it all from the ECU and the engine is incredibly difficult/ not worth the aggro, so just splash some 2T in the tank and live free and easy.

Re: Flat Battery and Flooding

I would recommend the Varta battery :thumleft: Also, I just wazz the trickle charger on the terminals, personally. Never had any issues from doing so. And, if possible (should you ever flood it again) a tow start is the easiest and quickest way to get it going again - works like a 2000rpm starter lol

Re: R3 rear light gasket changed, still getting leak into boot

I had fishbowl issues on my last RX8, solved it by getting some neoprene gasket and sticking it to the car then cutting a channel through the middle to allow the water to run out behind the lights rather than into them. 20170403_144218.jpg Cost a fiver or so for an A4 piece of adhesive neoprene, wa...

Re: Engine rebuild quandry

To echo those above, without knowing the builder we can't give you a realistic feel for whether they are generally trusted within this community, however 7.1s across the board after 1000 miles is really good IMO. That will creep up a bit more as the seals bed in to match the housings etc. As has bee...

Re: Headlights

It's everyone's personal preference, like car colours and all sorts, but there's something a lot more modern about gloss black headlight internals to me. Likewise, I know this isn't necessarily the thread for it, but gloss black grilles on the R3 also make it look and feel a hell of a lot more moder...

These are glorious. Not my kinda style as I prefer an OEM-esque look, but they are mega.

Have you looked into recasting them Dan? I found a few products that would do it while looking at the rear lights.
Not looked in to it at all as yet, mainly because I only really work with the R3 lights and they are usually in fairly good condition. Good enough to put up with.

I've done a few sets for peeps How much do you charge for such magical services Dan? Love the look, although I'd probably need a new set of lenses - mine have lots of what appear to be micro cracks across the top :( Unfortunately I have not found any new lenses for the R3 lights (or S1 for that mat...
