Re: Half bridge engine idle

Used my mazedit app to read codes, it shows issues with neutral switch/cabling. Will need to get it on ramp to check this out :)

Half bridge engine idle

Hi

Does anyone have a half bridge engine (231), that’s perfect on idle? Mine hunts when cold or even when hot. Have 9XX coils from rotary revs for a while :)

Aem intake, don’t want to waste time trying to fix if it’s normal.

Thanks

Re: Tyre question

Am guessing in the dry, I would want better stopping so I figured putting the tires with more thread on the front. I leave TC on so can see what the car feels like and swap them. But with a small window on track just wanted to get some advice. Honestly thought this would have been a quick answer lol...

Re: Tyre question

I would prefer oversteer to understeer? Which is what could happen if the front has less thread?

Tyre question

So have a evening session at Brands, I have 2 pairs of 595rs. One pair has 1mm above marker and the other pair has 2mm. Am I right in thinking I should put the pair with more thread on the front?

Re: Thruxton 90db

I run AEM..sounds like a big risk to do this track day. Will measure my sound on my phone(i know its not massively accurate), mrspiller would you be able to do the same for idle and at 6K(as close to exhaust as possible)? I use dB Meter its a free on ios.

Re: Good riddance

I recently hit the wall (starting straight) in my mates mx5 turbo at 70mph...on damp day at brands hatch. His was a MK2.5 sturdy little cars but the turbo came in too quickly...I would say maybe a newer NC or a supercharged MK2.5 might be better. Also I share my rx8 with a mate, who cannot do as man...

RacingBeat Single Exhaust

Hi Anyone know how I can reduce the sound on this? I use it on the road would like it to be acceptable noise level for my neigbours. Would like to know if there's a muffler that is a direct fit? I have tried with dual resonated decat but had to add toyo hi-flow cat back in due to MOT and insurance. ...

Hi

I just assumed it was 10K, to be honest I have not changed my pads in ages. Typically just change on a whim :)

Awesome, lets us know the price when you have this. Getting the rear brake upgrade would also be useful.
Whats the typically life expectancy on the disc, I know this depends on how hard its used. Normal Black diamond disc gives you around 10K ish miles.

Cheers

Re: New Product - Brakes coming soon - First Post edited 15 Feb

Hi So there's no compatibility with what we have now? I have the 4 pot upgrade, to use the larger floating disc, could I not buy the bracket and disc's but use my current calipers? Also for the rears, I am new to this so what do yo mean by 2 piece? floating disc? For the rear, what will be the cost ...
