Re: Buying an R3 v2

As I had apologised to Dan already via PM, I’m sure he’ll understand. I had a l guy travel down from Manchester within 5 hours of messaging me (who I thought was a time Waster initially), turned out to be a car collector, he loved the car and took it with no questions asked, offering the same price....

It’s been good

Hi all club members Today my car was sold to another enthusiast and it marks an end to my RX8 ownership, as I look at going back to a car I owned some 15 years ago 8) I thank you all for being so welcoming and anyone that I have met (traders or members) being so friendly and having a passion for all...

Re: Buying an R3 v2

As per the above, do a buy. It looks to be a cracking car and - although style is all about personal preference - I think those wheels look pretty mega personally :P Also, as a 2010 it won't need the gearbox syncros doing either :thumleft: EDIT: One extra thing, the bolster on that driver's seat lo...

I dont Drive the car anymore unfortunately as I have a runaround and a JDM DC2 k-swap project in the pipeline, so it is parked up in the carp...

Re: Planted seat base

I’m looking at getting some bucket seats, so the Planted base allows the side mounts to be installed onto it? Gather if adding a sliding base will make it too high?

Also, what do you do with the seat airbag sensor?

Re: How does the Honda S2000 compare with the RX-8?

I owned a nearly new AP2 S2000 back in 2005 with the GT hard top and now own an R3. My thoughts echo most of what has been said in previous posts. Looks are subjective, practicality is not comparable as they are just different a category to each other In terms of driving performance (both standard),...

Re: Car Throttle 'Living with a rotary' - Any Questions or requests?

As said by others, we bought these cars not for dyno runs and proving how much power they can make because we could of bought other cars that could always make more! But understand the CT entertainment reasons I think there definitely needs to be an episode that shows off the handling of these cars ...

Have you tried this thread? https://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=74563&hilit=R3+stereo I recently replaced my R3 unit with the facia kit. The heating controls are not part of the head unit like the S1. So can just transfer it to the new Metra kit facia. To conclude the install ...
