I also would have loved to have seen this in the flesh, as the photos are amazing!
Blown away the Time and money put into the modifications.
A true Labour of love.

02 sensor question

I've got a question regarding the sensors, in the pictures, the one I've taken off my car is the shorter one with more perforations. And the longer one is a replacement, but is it the right one? , the cable is longer and there are less perforations in it Are they different brands but do the same job...

Re: Replacing steering uj

I had exactly the same issue with play in my UJ. I got a v good condition replacement from BigPete for MUCH less than a new one. The issue for me was fitting, a local mechanic tried but was unable to free the old one. I took it to Rotary Revs who managed to get it off and fit the replacement for £1...

Re: Replacing steering uj

Ahha!
It's always nice to get a second opinion [emoji16], so to the original question, is it a pig of a job, or cheapish to get done at a garage?

Re: Replacing steering uj

Hopefully somone will be able to confirm this for me, the play in the wheel is what you see in the video, presumably the should be zero play in the uj? http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5e5a7a89e57 ... 145009.mp4

Replacing steering uj

Wondering how difficult this job is? I've had play in the steering for a long time, but just lived with it, but now I'm really keen to get it sorted, is it possible for a novice, or how much would it be at a garage?

Re: Rust Treatment : where to go?

After reading this, I thought I'd call a local classic car specialist and ask what they would offer, and they basically said, they spay the underneath with compressed air then apply wax oil or the other brand with I forgot the name of, and it takes around a days labour, roughly £500, so it sounds li...
