Re: Harness Brace

In all honesty I don’t really know!
I didn’t want the weight of a full cage but I wanted to stiffen and brace the car. Not sure if there is any real benefit but it does look nice

Re: Harness Brace

That is my car and the Neil Parry Harness brace is absolutely spot on!
Bolted into place as easy as anything. Very well made and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Highly recommended :thumleft: 8)

Re: Project N/A power Target 280+ HP

Picked my car up from Scott at RRP yesterday and drove home in the damp cold dark winter evening which is not ideal in a car with very worn semi slick tyres. Anyway there was quite a transformation in that it was much quieter and generally a great deal smoother running. Scott had fixed the exhaust g...

Re: Customer feedback

Well Scott has done the business again.
He has sorted out my leaky exhaust and manifold (loose term, more on that in my build thread) so my drive home last night was smoother, quieter and much improved.
Many thanks Scott for your great service =D> :D 8)

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Dropped my track car off with Scott Ryan who will hopefully fix the leaky exhaust manifold and intake port. Bit of an eventful day as the battery was completely flat when I went to start it despite having a solar battery tender fitted. Used my battery booster but still not enough with a completely d...

Re: Air Filters - HKS or K&N? And what needs oiling?!

Even though I know there is little or no improvement to the standard paper element it is something I have always done on every car I have owned going back to my teens. (Long, long time) I always put a so called performance filter in/on.

Re: Air Filters - HKS or K&N? And what needs oiling?!

K&N filters are supplied pre oiled so you haven’t got to worry about cleaning and re oiling for some time. The HKS hybrid panel filter looks good with its bright green filter medium, don’t know how good they are though? One thing is that they do not have a perimeter rubber seal so rely on plastic to...

Re: 3rd gear pop-out

I have to say having both that the shift on the S1 gearbox is far superior to the R3 in terms of smoothness. I have replaced the gearbox oil in both (Nick 13Black did the R3) and the change in the R3 is still notch when cold, only smoothing out after thoroughly warmed through. The S1 even with a sho...

Re: Buying an R3 v2

It’s always difficult when buying a car especially something quite rare like a R3. You try not to rush in (like I do) and make an informed decision but then you risk someone else diving in ahead of you. The seller is quite right (unless deposit taken) to take the cash of the person there. I have no ...

Re: Project N/A power Target 280+ HP

Not the clutch Dave unfortunately.
My car runs permanently in open loop. With the air con on there is extra strain on the system that the pcm would normally compensate for in closed loop but can’t now.

Re: Project N/A power Target 280+ HP

Small update Have not really been able to use in anger due to one thing and another. Went up to see Carl and Scott Ryan recently to have my RRP MK2 coils + plugs leads fitted. Would normally do this kind of thing myself but needed my map adjusting as it had the dwell tweaked for the previous install...
