Good to know at renewal time then :thumleft: EDIT.. 27/3 .. Just received my refund straight to my bank of £62.70 for reducing my Comp. policy to Fire & Theft.. not a bad company to me in any way, having said that never had to claim either. probably charged you £60 admin fee for making a change to ...

I asked my insurance Company and they confirmed they will Fire & Theft the car whilst Sorned and there will be a saving which will be refunded, I guess it depends on who you are with, based on your comments Dave. I'm with LV and no problem..renewal due August.
If you SORN your car, don't forget to advise the Insurance Company, they will reduce the premium and give Fire & Theft cover whilst Sorned.. saves a bit of cash
Youd have to change a 100cell for every MOT as it wont pass emissions just so you know. Good to know, thank you. My thinking was that The 100 cell could be a good compromise if (in contrast to an un-resonated decat) it takes the smell and noise away, but is less restrictive. Even if I needed to swa...
My comments can also be validated by 'bigpete' of Boston Rotary, as he is a trader on the forum and has monitored and serviced my car for those 6 years .. with comp tests completed by him annually
Reference Dave's advice re "Italian Tuneup" I purchased my R3 when on just 15k mileage and was in low 6's with a confirmed comp test :( It's life was spent on the little Island of Guernsey, obviously well carboned up, so after driving her 'properly' during my 6 years of ownership I sold her with 69k...
RX8club.com is not where I'd be looking for info, they still recommend revving to 4k before switching off a hot engine .. so lots of misinformation spouted by that US site
I hope you budgeted for the extra £1000+ worth of parts required to give peace of mind, coils, plugs, leads and a proper cat, just for starters  Congratulations, looks very nice :thumleft: You will have it for years, I did .. by far the most fun car to drive.. Rotaries are truly exceptional .. ...
The likelihood is that the coils are not genuine NGK.. they are notorious for being faked there was a clue about the pics on the boxes, but I cannot remember what.. first rule with a rotary.. buy the best replacement parts you can, don't skimp and if you cannot tell genuine parts then certainly don'...
I never premixed at all.. Ben @ RR told me 6 years ago it was not necessary with the extra oil injector on the R3.. and after 6+ years, the compression was substantially higher than when originally purchased, passed on to a new member here with high 6's and low 7's @
So much power I just can't put it on the tarmac Will soon be Spring/Summer John 8) When the temps start to rise you'll be able to exploit that power :thumleft: Reading your thread again you mentioned the car came to you with Pirellis fitted & you also got a spare set of Continentals thrown in :D Yo...
Oh right the Meg sorry Nigel (he's not getting this car too dangerous in the wrong hands) also too many black cars here.. the Meg stays right with me :) So much power I just can't put it on the tarmac Nigel, I have to use progressive acceleration to make traction, never experienced such vicious powe...
Bigpete's got her atm Nigel.. excellent condition and apart from a tree falling on it prompting the write off, just a broken windscreen and a piece of plastic trim.. she is rather lovely :) We have found a broken piece of front spring, so replacing that.. and that is all we have to do, my Son needle...
