Re: Just bought a PZ

Good work Dave. Glad another special edition is in the club. Get the rust on it dealt with quickly (I may have enquired myself [emoji6]). Mine looked like that PZ recently and now seems to be progressing. ☹️ I'll be doing something similar to you eventually I think. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapat...

Re: ^^^TRACKDAY Croft Circuit - Tue 20th Aug **SOLD OUT**^^^ '25th Birthday Celebration'

Another great track day and social with the RX8OC. Well worth the long journey. I found Croft to be a very enjoyable and challenging circuit, and apart from the straights the RX-8 did well over a lap with good relative cornering speeds. I found myself out-braking the GT3 and some other expensive wea...

Re: Tyres And Emissions

And then there is me running 245/35 for no reason other than I think the wider tyre looks good and at the time I bought them I thought the stiffer low profile wall would be an improvement. Now having read PeteH's various posts on the forum I am not sure I have the best size, but if I changed would ...

I've checked in.

Going to grab a quick shower then will go and prop the bar up.

Bumped into Pete when getting fuel, so know he's about. Anyone else here yet?

Re: ^^^TRACKDAY Croft Circuit - Tue 20th Aug **SOLD OUT**^^^ '25th Birthday Celebration'

Going to set off in the next hour or so and will hopefully be there well in advance of our dinner plans. Fitted a Racing Beat exhaust and some oil gauges yesterday. Haven't driven anywhere yet, so hope all works properly when tested shortly. Forecast has changed, and now looks like a likelihood of r...

Re: Breaking track car

That's it for today, been running on mania since going to bed at 5 and getting up at 10. Next weekend I'll aim to take off the cat bypass, the exhaust, the transmission and the suspension depending on weather. If I've missed a question please let me know. Next weekend would suit me for collecting t...

I use a diesel injector socket, which is six-sided and can't round-off, plus it has a window in the side for the wire. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk Like this? No joy for me... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190728/f1a392aad2706a3630d4238ab1450229.jpg Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

apply heat, plenty of heat. will come off. Got it off. While my specialist socket was rounding it off, I succeeded with a 22mm spanner with one of my car ramps and myself balanced on it after much blasting with a heat gun! Now to jack up the car again so I can fit it! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.c...

Re: Track tyres....

The last time I compared prices, there was a big premium to move up from Federals to AD08s or ÀR1s, so I would still maintain that Federals are the best value track tyre, even if the more expensive rivals are quicker Alan, where did see the price difference between the Federals and Yokos; when I go...

Much appreciated feedback Ranjan. There's a few on that list that I've been tempted to try next, both on my RX8 and RX7. Re: Fantastic Tyre Review Test

I noticed that Tyre Reviews has another video out, comparing the various Goodyear tyres. They are testing Assymetric 5’s, Supersports and Supersport R’s. All performance tyres with the latter tyres being more biased towards the track, but all three seem to offer good wet grip. The Assymetric 5’s an...

Thanks for the mention of my "moment" in your commentary with BigPete! Excellently edited videos. Re: Condor's Impulsive Panic Buy Rotary Shed and lesser seen FD

FD update time: Last year’s visit to Blyton Park was the only track day that I had done in the car following the single turbo conversion. This day somewhat foreshadowed the difficulties that I would go on to experience on my European Road Trip last September, as my coolant temps got rather hot rath...

Re: Breaking track car

I'd be interested in the Racing Beat exhaust providing it's not the single exit variant. Couple of little bits like exhaust shrouds would interest me if good condition. Also if you are eventually willing to have it non rolling I'd take all of the rear arms.. .

Few more to follow. https://youtu.be/iaq4Vumvrt0 Split screen of my fastest lap at the day we did in 2018 vs the 2019 Rotary only day. I think that I personally drove better on the 2018 day. Differences between the 2 were: 2...

He's one who divides opinion in the FD community. Many satisfied customers but others who see him as expensive and don't rate his mapping. I have no personal experience though.
