Re: Shropshire / West Midlands Meet - Friday 10th January - **7pm**

Hi All,

Sorry missed this one (and probably next) baby due soon so we're pretty busy sorting things out. Will try and get back out once we're all sorted!

Re: Phone holder

The only one I've tried that puts the phone in a non wobbly position I like is this one I found that sits in the CD slot, seeing as I don't use CDs (Have a Grom link thing) it can just stay there, kind of puts the phone where you'd expect a more modern HU to be, can have the phone sideways or uprigh...

Re: mot and immobilizer

Check engine light came on for the RX8 when it was MOTd for a misfire (We hadn't reset the ECU properly, now sorted) and the chap just said as it wasn't related to emissions it wasn't an issue and it passed anyway.

Re: Special Edition Register additions.

According to the VIN number page on PZs I have number 702, but the list on page 1 has 'wafershaf' who owned the car before me down as 008/800.

Quite tempted by this, will keep an eye on it and see what the funding situation is like when you release it.

Re: Metra kit, anything better?

The metra kit in mine wound me up so much I pulled it all out and put a standard Bose back in, I'd like a nice Android Auto double din HU in the car but having HVAC controls that were a bit hit and miss annoyed me more than the lack of a modern HU. I've gone for one of the bluetooth Grom BT3 boxes a...

As I've got one of your rebuilt engines its very reassuring to see this post, like everyone else I'd be really interested to see what caused the issue. :thumright:

Yes it's done about 500 miles :/

Taken the wheel off and pulled it out and it's a tiny hole which from my measurements is inside the repairable area but we'll see what the garage says on Monday!

Re: Zippy's Copper Red Evolve.

I decided I didn’t like the visibility of the Evolve mirrors, and bought some stock ones to replace them. Finding a set in the copper red was a bit tricky, so a pre- carbon vinyled set was purchased, and then at some point I may get round to getting some covers in the correct colour. https://live.s...

I've got a replacement EGR solenoid to fit, no worries if there isn't time but I'll bring it along anyway.

Re: Radiator Hose Size

Yeah I'll measure when I'm next at the car, was just being impatient :)

That's the type I was going to go for, I'd found these - https://www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk/Ho ... ra-W4.html

They are silicon hoses yes, the originals had gone all crumbly so had to go.

Radiator Hose Size

Hi, I'm away for work at the moment so doing a lot of pondering and googling, I can't find the diameter of the radiator hoses (main upper and lower ones) - Looking for the outside diameter to know what size clamps you need, I don't like the clamps the replacement hoses came with so it's on my list o...

Flipping heck that's not including the underside then only the cavities? That's a fair amount maybe cheaper buying 5litres and a spray gun with nozzle ?
