Re: Shropshire / West Midlands Meet - Friday 13th September - **7pm**

I'm 99% certain I won't be able to make the meal at the next one, got some family stuff on.

Will do my best to show my face though so don't put me down for the meal and I'll show up for a pint (of something non alcoholic) if I can!

Re: Free Car Lift, Barbecue and Luke Murdoch - Saturday 26th October from 8.30am

I was after doing some rust protection but I don't live far from Rob so no need for me to take up ramp time with that. I'm free that day though so suspect I'll pop along!

Re: Does the RX8 need XL tyres?

I've just fitted 235/40/18 Pilot Sport 4s (believe they are XL) and they feel brilliant to me (I am by no means a tyre expert!) - The old tyres were 245/40/18, and felt terrible but as I say, no expert and I think is more down to the old ones being mismatched budget tyres. Car feels brilliant on tur...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Got the Pilot Sport 4s fitted, took it for a spirited drive home to scrub them in. It's like a different car after the mismatched Chinese tyres.

Re: Agreed Value Insurance - Highly recommended

I got agreed value insurance via Adrian Flux, it's sufficient to cover all the work I've had done to the car. Was just very careful to keep all the receipts and invoices etc from RRP to send off.

Re: Shropshire / West Midlands Meet - Friday 9th August - **7pm**

Yes was a brilliant meet last night! Good location and good company, like Rob says it's great that non-owners can turn up and not feel excluded from anything. Really nice meeting new people, great to meet you Ranjan! Think we have a future member and RX8 owner in my friend's son as well, apparently ...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Finally done the 1000 mile oil change today, fitted the rotary crest and fitted HID units for the high beams. Can't wait to start building the revs! Already feels better taking it to 5k. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190810/9b305f4713f6c7b36c6af327e1dd3995.jpg Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapata...

Re: Sat Nav thoughts

Tony, on my Mazda 3 I was able to install software which allowed me to increase functionality and also add android auto. Definitely worth while once out of warranty As for the RX-8 I had a Nexus installed in the sat Nov hood which I used for music, Google maps and had connected to ODBII. I did buy ...

I know it’s not to everyone’s taste but I’m a sucker for led lights so I fitted these to my doors.
So am I, I want some.

Re: Sat Nav thoughts

My car came with a metra kit double din adapter thing, the way it made the AC controls so rubbish really wound me up so I've now ripped it out, put a standard radio/hvac unit back in and just use my phone for sat-nav. I got myself a Grom BT3 box for music/directions etc and that's great.

i must confess i am a little disappointed that my kuro is in fact sh#t, doubly so as i have two of them. and these remarks from an extremely well respected expert, to say i am gutted would be an under statement. Re: Thinking about buying a RX8

As above, plus just bear in mind whilst the RX8 can be cheap to buy it isn't necessarily a cheap car to run (I know this is mentioned above as well with regards to fuel/tax etc, but seen a couple of people on here who have had them then can't keep up with the costs). Having said that, if you do get ...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

I loved my GROM BT3 kit in my 192. That coupled with the bose and the fact the steering wheel controls worked to skip tracks and I was set. Had the Nexus Tablet mod as well so it was perfick Nice! I had thought about the nexus but see how I get on with just the phone first. I am tempted to see if I...
