Re: Once you go black.... (Condor's PZ)

Hi Alan, Not enough info to comment on the knock but assuming that has nothing to do with the low corner. Lift the front hight 10 mm on the shocks mark and turn the same both sides Lift the low corner at rear to match other rear Don’t preload the shocks too much ( just a touch) Try this and see what...

Re: PZ alloys

Metal valves are used on race wheels because of the higher quality for purpose
OZ produce race wheels for Formula 1 etc and give a high spec to their products
Just the facts

Re: Once you go black.... (Condor's PZ)

Hi Alan, I was considering whether to do some car set up tips in the members area. I see a few people had handling problems at Mallory but I haven’t watched any videos yet. What you describe has nothing to do with tyre pressure (although you should run the same all round) and tyre pressures are alwa...

Go with the 6 speed every time :thumleft:
The static weight will make no difference but the gears could give you seconds 😉

Re: Hi, new here and have a starting question!

Hi and welcome to the forum,
It is probably down to coils or plugs ( but could be something else as well )
I would advise : Run a bottle of Cataclean through the fuel tank and then get the plugs ,coils and leads checked.

Re: Track day tyres

Hi Mark, 235x40 is the best size for most on track or road. The Federal RSRs are good value for money and can last approx 9 open pit lane track days depending on conditions and driver. You can run them at 30 psi on road and 32 on track, they have a stiff sidewall. You should run camber of 11/2 to 2 ...

Re: Track day tyres

That’s way too low for 1500 Kls of car in that heat
You probably should have been on 32 pounds not 25
I would advise that you buy Federal 595 RSRs for track day semi slicks

I can’t believe you changed the PZ suspension
You should have tried it first before making the car slower ;)
Car looks good though :thumleft:

Curious, was that Cusco strut braces or roll bars ?

Re: Standard ride height

Hi Steve, There’s something wrong and any settling will just damage the bushes. As Chris says it should at least be level side to side and 25mm is a heck of a lot and smacks of incompetence. I would take it back with the measurements I have given you and set it there for a starting point. To suggest...

Re: Standard ride height

Hi and in reply to your first question
The only way to measure accurately is from the centre of the wheel to the bottom of the arch
This gives you an accurate measurement whatever wheels/tyres your running etc
Rear 365mm ... Front 380mm
Hope thats useful

Re: Castle Combe Charity Track Day - Wednesday 19th August

Hi Tom, A friend of mine will be there so I will come down with him as this is my local track. No problem with the charity track day it’s just the proceeds go to a good cause and is still open pit lane. All circuits have noise limits per year which determines the amount of noisy days they can have. ...

Hi,
It actually sounds normal
If the tickover goes below 800 then it might pay to alter the tickover.
it does run quicker when cold and drops hot or when the air con is engaged
