Thanks warpc0il big pete & paul.
The faults may be unconnected, the codes came up when some work was being done to it recently, dont know what code was shown. I'll check the connection in the glovebox area. any further thoughts welcomed.
cheers

srs restraint module fault and front abs sensor signal.
hi, It seems that my srs restraint module( Air bag ) is showing a fault and that there is a code indicating that the ABS front sensors are not providing signal. Has anyone seen or had this fault occur? Is it possible that the srs restraint module was involved in work associated with a recall on air ...

Re: rusty sills
hi Roosterrory, Thanks for your post. My RX8 has 'bubbling' sills. The corrosion is visible beneath the car and inboard so far. I have a quote to cut out and weld new metal in place once the rusting metal has been removed. When you refer to an inner sill are you describing a sill enclosed by the out...

Re: rusty sills
hi in the absence of a response regarding the ebay sill panels ( if its the same as I've seen the supplier is in Poland and advises that the panels are sourced from Mazda), here are my thoughts. RX8 sills will rust, and some people will need or choose to repair /replace them. The outer sills on my R...

My 2003 RX8 is nearing 100,000 miles as original ( almost).I thought therefore to register having been a former member many years back. The car is still my favourite drive, and i hope to keep it that way for a while yet. The RX8 may become less familiar on our roads but the Club will play a big part...

Instructions on how to remove and replace the trim from above the cill to access the cill box sections would be useful,as I want to check these out and waxoyl if possi...

Whats particularly great about the RX8 is the interest it commands across the spectrum. From casual complimentary comments from passers by, to dedicated owners who value the qualities of this distinctive car. How else can you explain the vitality of this Owners Club and this forum? The RX8 simply mes...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today?????
I got stopped on my way back to my RX8 which was parked up at our local Tesco's and answered a load of questions about the car from a guy who wanted to buy an RX8. Spent about 20 mins explaining that he should look up this web site, and that the Cars are a steal at current prices, especially the one...

Best handling car of the (last) Decade
Yes ahead of the Porche 911, the RX8 is Auto express's best handling car of the Decade. We knew this all along, but its good to see it confirmed!

Re: 300 Mile Club
Another thing that is almost unique about the RX8 is the relatively small differences in fuel consumption experienced in differing journeys/ driving conditions. For example a mix of short town drives and motorways normally results in 20 mpg. Long motorway journeys get to say 24-25 mph. If you can do...
