I take it they are polished alloys or something similarly non-standard? There's no way a set of 4 standard alloys should cost £1,750. You could probably buy a set of 4 new ones off Ebay for less than £350.

More Than won't insure for any modifications. They cancelled my insurance when I fitted a Racing Beat exhaust - I'm now with Esure.

As for Exhaust I don`t know about going for RB one now,as Tips point down to the ground  according to the picture I seen on the Roteckniks section on this forum :!: No, that's the Racing Beat RACE exhaust. The normal Racing Beat exhaust has tips that point out horizontally, and by the way, th...

^^ Note that these setting are cm and inches, not metres and feet! Misreading this and torquing up to 156 foot pounds will definitely strip the threads in your engine  Most torque wrenches that I've seen don't go down to torque settings this low. I would go very very carefully.

That's a good deal. TW Whites charge £350 for a 4th year service without an MOT (but including oil)

The vast majority of the cost is labour. IIRC the mounts themselves are only about £50. Errr..............No. N/S £101 O/S £112 They're about £60 (well $116 anyway) if you order them from autopartspeople.com - and why not, if you're fitting them yourself! I meant £60 each by the way. The cost for M...

I'm going back to 'normal' blades next time. The flat blades with spoilers the wrong way round do lift on my car at around 70mph, and the bottom right hand part of the screen (driver's side) gets missed. I think I'll try the Champion blades next which are a lot cheaper too.

Do they still have the spoilers the wrong way up? I bought a set a few months ago and it looks like they're meant to be for left-hand drive cars.

How the heck do alloy wheels rust? I understand that they can tarnish if the protective layer is damaged but never heard of alloys rusting. It's not rust (ferrous oxide), that is just corrosion in iron and steel. Alloys can corrode as well, especially if they're not well protected by paint and lacq...

It makes sense to use a torque wrench to tighten all the various bolts and nuts when reassembling. Torque settings are fairly critical on anything related to the suspension.

Test days are great. I went to one back in 1996 as a guest of Tyrrell and was able to wander up and down the pitlane looking into all the garages. I even found myself standing next to Alain Prost on the pitwall at one point (he was advising Mclaren at the time). And I was able to get right next to t...

Where's the best (cheapest) place to buy the Bosch wipers? I don't fancy paying £18 each or whatever it was I saw them for in Halfords.
