Re: Alloy Refurb and Paint Cost?

Why not have a go at painting them yourself its not difficult, minor scuffs can easily be dressed out and finished in black covers up a multitude of sins on a set of alloys and considerably cheaper! :-k

Re: Spark plugs - weird mistake

If its any consolation using Mazda dealers for servicing, one dealer put the wrong oil in, another fitted the wrong filter and didn`t replace the dipstick and also damaged the drivers seat back, another filed the front brake pads down in an attempt to stop them squealing and then fitted them incorre...

Re: Why have 2 when you can have 3

The reason the sills rot is due to the roof drain channels that exit under the sills, owners don`t keep them clean so they get blocked and the carpets wet.

You will need one of these a trombone cleaner.

The 190 is fitted with projector lenses but H7 halogen bulbs, back in 2004 when I bought my 190 I replaced the H7`s with a Bosch HID kit to the dipped beam which was a great improvement, back then it passed an MOT and it never seemed to affect other drivers!

My VZN Formentor pan roof has also proven to be somewhat temperamental but only on hot sunshine days, the touch panel puts the courtesy light on going over a bumpy road and you cannot turn it off, I had the roof open then it wouldn`t close had to use the remote after locking the car. Consider...

OE HID`s are 4300K but I find 6000K give a better whiter light especially picking up reflective surfaces where there is no lighting at all, I have never been flashed by an an coming driver in over 16 years of using them do Night Breaker DS2 bulbs pass that test considering they are claimed to be up ...

To add to that a cheap multimeter for any car electrical work is priceless :)
I would also add an OBD11 code reader they are not that expensive but are worth having your own access to fault finding.
