I`ve had 3 MX5`s 2x Mk1 and the last a Mk3 and its amazing how much crud builds up in those drains aside from the Trombone cleaner I used to occasionaly stick an air line down there as well!

Chris are you aware the soft top drains though the sills only a work colleague rebuilt his MX5 body work and later on couldn`t understand why he could hear water sloshing around in the sills!

Well you have the grooves going the correct way I would clean the wheel spigot with some emery and put a smear of copper grease on it, it helps keep the alloy from sticking!

That was my thinking it was a same 70AH battery, it is an EFB battery and I did think about changing to an AGM as they are supposedly better but even that looked like it can cause problems with charging and they don`t like heat so I decided "if it ain`t broke etc "

Unfortunately the original Varta battery is 70AH AND 700CCA and the Exide battery I bought is the same 70AH but 760CCA as I figured that was better and I couldn`t find that same capacity battery that is the same physical size the recommended Varta battery was the same capacity as the Exide! :roll ...
