Re: Revi Ram Air Duct with stock air box

Good job there.

BTW the air blocking plate is to reduce cooling to the front of the engine block in order to keep the temps at the front and the back as equal as possible.

P0420 usually means it's been decatted. Have a look at your exhaust system underneath and see what mid pipe is fitted.

Re: Is diesel a rust inhibitor?

yep, the Polo in front of me was under steering like a b'stard round the roundabout, was halfway into the next lane to the left with steering on full lock right. He was lucky there was nothing there, no control at all.

Is diesel a rust inhibitor?

Just looking for a silver lining to having to clean the car again this coming weekend. Drove through a dirty great half mile diesel spill yesterday following other cars spraying it up. So much you could smell it through the vents when driving and instead of the garage smelling like petrol fumes, it ...

Offside front wheel off to lube the UJ, cos, why not?
Whilst in there, let's take a photo of the engine mount and see how it's doing. Well that's disappointing. :(

Decat fumes vs Covid-19

Could the Rotary community be the Nation's solution to the Corona virus? Not a scientific experiment by any means, but having been around decatted rotaries quite a bit, I'd bet the fumes coming out the back of one would be more than a match for this virus. "Worried about covid-19? Coat your lungs an...

The 'oo I don't want to use my insurance, I'll just pay for it' assumes a bill of £125. As soon as it gets north of £500 they switch to the insurance.

Hope it gets sorted quickly for you. Minor but very annoying.

Re: exhaust set up with no drone

I had the Pettit with the RB dual res pipe. Was generally excellent and very amusing with the pop and bang remap but mine boomed at 3000 - 3500 rpm with any throttle, otherwise excellent. Unfortunately that rpm is right where you are when on a busy M'way, so just the slightest throttle to speed up a...
