Code of Conduct

As a member of the RX8OC, you are required to abide by and accept the following community rules for membership:

1. As a condition of membership, members are required to abide by all National and local laws or regulations relevant to the area of the clubs activity or event being attended. Members hold personal responsibility for ensuring they are up to date with the clubs constituion, code of conduct, and any club rules/policies determined by the current and former committees. Any breach of the above is the personal accountability of the member, the club or its officials will hold no responsibility or liability for the action of a member. Any abuse or disregard of the above conditions could result in disciplinary action.

2. All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background, religious beliefs or sexual identity in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 which is legally relevant to all private clubs or associations. Membership will not be discriminated against or refused on the basis of protected characteristics, however the club reserves the right to refuse membership of any person on any other ground it deems suitable.

3. All members must be welcoming to and encouraging of all other club members at club events, local group meets and on the Forum. When interacting with the club, all members are required to uphold the values and spirit of the RX8OC in its aims of inclusiveness and enjoyment. All members and officials should be treated with the same level of respect that one would expect for themselves. Inappropriate behaviour, behaviour damaging to the club or bullying of any sort will not be tolerated. This behaviour will be subject to disciplinary action and may result in membership termination.

4. Members should encourage everyone to enjoy the benefits of the club and understand that people have different motivations for taking part. Members should recognise the valuable contribution made by officials and volunteers. They give their time and resources to provide club benefits, activities, events, and offer help when needed. All members should be respectful to officials and accept decisions are made as an elected representative of the club majority.

5. Any disciplinary action will be determined and dealt with by the Committee, or any member appointed by them, on a case by case basis. A violation of any of the above conditions/rules or Club Constitution or Forum Rules may subject the offending club member to a warning, or expulsion from the club. Should a club member's membership be terminated, they must remove any association with the club. The club secretary will notify an individual of any official investigation and the outcome, an appeal may be made to the Chair for final decision if required.

6. Acceptance of the all club/forum rules and the Constitution of the club is a condition of Membership, therefore commencement or renewal of membership will be taken as acceptance of conditions as laid down above.
