Rmagic Spoiler Install on S1

Hi there, this is my 1st post on here and I've recently bought an Rmagic spoiler for my 2003 S1. Just looking some advice on how to install it? Thanks

Bolts.... Hopefully

Depends entirely on how it's intended to marry up.

With it being aftermarket, I wouldn't expect it to bolt to any existing holes (unless your bootlid already has a Mazdaspeed/hoop/R3 spoiler, as they all use the same outboard bolt points).

Does it have any rivnuts in the spoiler itself? Holes? Studs? You'll be best off using masking tape and transferring it, or using a paint pen to witness mark the mounting positions before drilling anything for definite.

Photos of both the boot and spoiler will help in this regard as it's not a common spoiler that many will have seen/installed.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I assumed I'd have to remove the boot spoiler anyway but this is the way it'll hopefully look after fitted (link below).

Please update when you get it fitted! I plan on ordering the same in a week or two to fit onto mine so that's good timing!

On another note, where did you order yours from? I've seen 2 ebay listing's from the same place at different prices and was going to grab the cheaper one to save some money

I have this one (the non-carbon fibre centre blade) and DrewR3 has the carbon centre one.

There are no bolts, but there are some c clamp style brackets that go over the edge of the boot lid and into some slots, it comes with double sided tape fitted (it’s a bit sh*t)
So we used some tigerseal to attach it to the boot lid

I’ve done 130mph with mine and doesn’t look like it’s coming off anytime soon

Only tip I’ll give you, do not get it painted until you’ve done a full test fit and assembly.
Due to the way it’s made, the tolerances can be a little off and might need you to sand some edges down to get it all fitted. The holes for adjustment might also need drilling out to allow you to use all 3 settings, but I mainly keep mine in the middle
