Essex rotary are selling smoked R3 rear lights
Does anyone know if I can switch out my rear lights on my S1 without wiring problems
Are they plug and play or do I need to modify the connectors or wiring ?
Also, are smoked rear lights legal ?

doobeedoobedo was in the process of converting it to a EV drivetrain out of a nissan leaf. unfortunately life got in the way and he got no further that mocking up the ev motor and sorting out some of the transmission.
So 5 months in and had my first worrying moment at the weekend.
Short drive engine not quite up to temperature, but still warm when I stopped. Came back about an hour later and took an unusually long crank to get her to start.
Probably 10 to 15 seconds.
I think to say that chucking myself in the deep end here is an understatement, but with the help from this forum and the specialists, and even my mates, I think I have a fighting chance of making this car even more special. :mrgreen:

Driver's side sill is rotten. There was a fair bit of filler and it was only when the weight of the car was on the jack that it became apparent it was more than just a bit scabby. Passenger side seems solid enough...
